THE BEST TEA
I love Buddha Tea. Right now I have five different types of Buddha Tea in my pantry and they are all wonderful! The blends I have are Juniper Berry, Digestive Nirvana, European Peppermint, Calm Buddha Blend and Divine Immunity Blend. I like to drink the Calm Buddha Blend before I go to bed, it helps me to fall asleep faster and sleep better all night. They are all great teas and I really love that they use unbleached tea bags, so they are chemical free. My husband likes the teas too. I highly recommend them.

I suppose, a good way to try Hawthorn...
First, Hawthorn is a medicinal herb. It tastes OK, it is very commonly taken as a tea, it has significant potential health benefits, but it is not a tea which you drink like a regular black or green tea, for the pleasure of flavor. It does not taste that good. It is used by herbalists primarily to support cardio-vascular system, it is beneficial for health of the heart and can help with stabilizing blood pressure (usually in combination with other herbs). It can be good both with excessively high and with excessively low blood pressure. Hawthorn leaves aid peripheral circulation, hawthorn berries aid the heart. Although this tea is called "hawthorn berry tea", it is actually a blend of powdered berries and leaves, which is good. The next thing, a herbalist would steep one to two teaspoons of this herb per cup of hot water, and would steep for as long as practical, at least 15 minutes. Well, one to two teaspoons is MUCH more than is in one tea bag. It is doubtful how much health benefits, if any at all, one would get from a tiny bag, and there is no other reason to drink it because it tastes between OK to tolerable but not enjoyable for sure. If you steep several teabags at the same time, you will be OK in the sense of using it as a medicinal herb, but this is where retailed packages become too pricey. At a good herbal store, you can get 4 oz of leaves and 4 oz of berries, possibly better quality than in these tea bags, for roughly the same total price as one package of this tea. It may be a good idea to buy a package of this herb packaged as retail tea bags, just to try to make sure you do not totally hate the flavor, but there is no reason to buy it continuously. Value for money is OK to try, as it is not a mainstream "tea" and it is nicely packaged, but it probably 8x or more the cost of the actual herb, measured by weight. You pay primarily for the cardboard and packaging.

Very mild flavor
This tea has a very very mild flavor. I was hoping for a strong piney flavor. Disappointed about that. The sachet is tea and sparse too. Maybe if I used 2 tea bags the flavor would be stronger? I do like that it's organic, non gmo and has unbleached tea bags.

Tastes horible!
I bought this tea for the ingredients in it and was so sad after i got it and tasted it. Im not a picky tea drinker at all, i love 99% of all d8fferent kinds i try, this one is not even drinkable to just get it in my body for the benifits. This tea tasts like feet (well at least what i would assume stinkey feet would taste like lol) i couldnt even get half way thru a cup of it. I even added some honey to see if it would help and sadley it did not help at all. This is the 1st time i have tasted a product with Saw Palmetto in it so idk if thats what its supposed to taste like or what.

The Second box, no flavor at all!
UPDATE: Well, I just opened my second box and steeped the tea in the very same way as the first box and it has absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Tasted like hot water with honey. I even tried using a second teabag and nope. So, I guess with this brand, not every batch is the same. This is my very first purchase of "Rose Hip Tea". I steeped it for the full five minutes in very, very hot water. I used one teaspoon of honey, and the results were delicious. I ordered two more boxes. My only "complaint" is the need for an option with more bags. 18 isn't enough!

Great placebo for stomach complaints
Rose hip tea is a folk remedy for empacho - a digestive ailment familiar to many Latinx people. Sometimes digestive ailments are caused by psychological distress, and placebo remedies can be quite beneficial in telling the brain "I am treating this problem, it is time to feel better." Even though I know it is a placebo, I feel it is beneficial to help calm stomach upset due to stress and anxiety. But also, this is a very nice tea. People have complained it is not very strong, but I like that it is not a strong and over powering tea, and there is no caffeine, because when I have a digestive complaint, I want a simple food that is not overwhelming. It has plenty enough flavor and pleasant aroma to tell your brain you are consuming something more than water, but it doesn't make me feel worse. Also one of the teabags I noticed had the phrase "pump up the jam" which was hilarious because my friend had never heard this song (he is too young) and I was able to play it for him and show him what a strange time the 80s was. I will be purchasing again when I run out.
