Earl Grey Tea, Loose Leaf, Pack of Six
I'm seeing that Amazon is grouping together the reviews for all Twinings teas, from Orange Pecoe to Earl Grey. This review pertains to the Earl Grey.Earl Grey: So perfect! Twinings has always done an excellent job with its Earl Grey, and this product is no exception. The black tea is strong and rich, and the bergamot is deep and flavorful. The fragrance is magnificent, and the taste is so beautiful that I find myself drinking large cups of this tea daily. I've heard bergamot compared to orange, but its nature is more lemon-like to me--and, somehow, I can't seem to get enough. In addition to the health properties of black tea, bergamot acts to decrease certain cholesterols in the body. The moral of the story: We need Earl Grey in our lives!Loose Leaf: Also exquisite. Twinings has this tea available in bags, but it is far stronger in loose-leaf form. The leaves are large and whole, and they never end up escaping my infuser accidentally. Then, too, the loose-leaf variety goes much, much farther than tea bags, making this an excellent value for comparable or greater strength. My one challenge with this tea is that it is not decaf, whereas Twinings Earl Grey is available in decaf bags. That isn't insurmountable so long as I drink it only throughout the morning hours.Tins: Nothing plasticine about them! I've always felt that plastic, cardboard, etc. are inauthentic. These tins really are rectangular metal structures with a small tea leaf embossed on the top. The foil covering beneath the lid keeps the tea fresh and preserves flavor nicely. Then, too, these tins are excellent storage places for other teas once the Earl Grey is gone.Pack of six: Translation: It's the tea that keeps on giving!--and, trust me, you'll want it that way. Buying in bulk like this is expensive up-front, but so important once you find a tea that you'd like to stick with.Final Recommendation: Make a cup, or two, or ten, of tea. Make many, many London fogs. Make Earl Grey macaroons--yes, they do exist! Whatever you do, you will be thoroughly pleased with this product.

Love Twinings tea!
I love English Breakfast Tea and Twinings is an old favorite. I no longer use tea bags so this loose leaf tea is ideal. It comes in a metal container to keep it fresh. Very nice!

Great price
Pros: The tines are useful for storage of stuff. The tea is very good. The price is excellent; somewhere between 40%-50% of supermarket prices.Cons: Have not found any serious issues

Very Good Green Tea
Where I'm located, my choices for loose green tea are practically non-existent. I had found and tried this Twinings Gunpowder Green (loose) tea at a local Fresh Market. I enjoyed it, but getting to that store (and their having it in stock) was troublesome. I was very happy to see the same tea on Amazon for a bit over a dollar LESS (per tin) than my local cost (not including my travel time or tolls paid). The tea has a very nice flavor (FAR better than the Stash Premium Green Tea, Loose Leaf, 3.5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 3) which was the other green tea I'd found locally). It also has a good color and aroma. One of the things I like about gunpowder tea is that it's easy to portion out. I scoop out 1 level teaspoon of tea and use it for two full serving in my Bodum YoYo Personal Tea Set with Infuser and 12-Ounce Glass. The tea leaves are of sufficient quality that there are almost no fragments, so nothing gets through the infuser but the flavor. If I were a tea purist, I'd probably have some issue with the fact that the gunpowder rolls of leaves are not as tight as they should be and the spent leaves look like they're somewhat irregular. But, considering that this tea is many times less expensive than the high quality stuff from the specialty shops, I'm very happy with it. The one thing I'm just a touch worried about is storage. The six tins in this package will last me many months. Since each tin is opaque and is sealed with an aluminum film, I figured the best location for storing the tea until I moved it to my "in-use" spot would be the refrigerator. The tin and the film should keep light and moisture out and the temperature fluctuations should be minimal. But, I still worry a bit. Still, I'm very pleased with the tea and rate it at a Very Good 4 stars out of 5.
