ChromaCast CC-1 Clip-on Tuner for Guitar, Bass, Violin, Ukulele

I'm a beginner and find this little thing perfect for tuning my ukulele.

I had two old tuners (we're talking like from the 90s and early 2000s) that I had trouble with using. I looked on Amazon for modern ones and I was surprised. They've come a long way! I got this one and it works perfectly. It's so easy to just clip it on and tune. It's very accurate.

This is up to snuff when lined up next to Snark clip-on tuners which are the go to. The Snark model I owned had a rubber cover that slipped over the pad on the clip that would keep coming off, pretty annoying. And there’s other clip-ons, some I feel are too expensive and some are kind of ugly if that matters to you. This one is my favorite in construction, screen positioning, aesthetics, bright LED screen, and precision (if you tune low it handles it well). While all these clip-ons seem to be generally the same in size this one has a screen that can be folded down and seems to be lower profile.

I like how easy it is too read and easy to use. but my biggest dislike is how small it is. it can fit in my coin pocket of my jeans so it's easier to misplace than a cellphone or remote. but other than that it is phenomanal

Difficult to turn on for right handed players

Guitar tuning was never so easy !

I have a chromatic guitar tuner, but the open notes on my ukulele are different, so I needed a new tuner. Was looking for a basic, easy to use, cheap tuner, and this definitely fits the bill.I like that it comes with a battery and clamps (with padding) into your instrument, then allows you to rotate the display so you can see it. You can change the setting from guitar, to bass, to ukulele, to violin, and it knows what you’re trying to tune.The display turns green when your string is in tune, so it’s a nice secondary visual indication that you’ve hit the sweet spot.I can comment on reliability over time and immunity to drops, bumps, etc, but my feeling is if you take care of it and treat it gently, it should last fine. And for $5, the price is more than fair.Great design and even better value.

It comes with a battery, and came a little overpackaged, which isn't a bad thing.It has a clear indicator when in tune, where instead of the default orange screen, it turns green.
