Such a great self-care tool for teachers
Teaching is really hard sometimes. You go underappreciated and face a lot of unexpected battles. This book has been really helping me learn to appreciate myself and stay positive, stay growth-mindset oriented. It presents the writing prompts to you non-judgmentally, almost with the tone of a good therapist or a wise friend. Then it just asks you to take the time in your day to work through those prompts. I started to find that I had solutions in my mind once I really took a break to think through what was going on.I think the biggest takeaway for me so far is that I have to be empathetic with myself. That doesn't mean doing less work just because I'm tired. It means remembering that I am not perfect, I am not expected to be perfect, and I can learn from my mistakes to be more impactful. This is an incredible gift for incoming teachers-- and if you're a teacher, get it as a gift for yourself. Do a prompt a day. I saw a difference.

The perfect book for anyone who wants to cultivate mindset with kids
Although intended for teachers, this is honestly the perfect book for anyone who wants to cultivate mindset inspire others. So often we get stifled with expectations about what we think others want to hear. I have found that this book is super incredible at allowing us to tap into things we wouldn't otherwise feel like sharing, that is much of the beauty of writing isn't it? The quotes throughout the book serve as wonderful inspiration for myself but also to share with students. I find myself using the templates more and more. I have even shared a few with my kids to get their minds thinking. It's truly inspirational for both teacher and students. . This book is for anyone who needs a little reminder and inspiration.

What do you need to add or change in your teaching methods?
This is a great book for teachers. It is a workbook for reflecting on your practices, cultivate your mindset in the classroom, spark new ideas, and inspire your students. This is a journal for daily use to reflect on your experiences of the day that you did not have time to think about when they happened. There are 183 pages that all have different coaching techniques. For example “How do you incorporate student voice and choice in your classroom?” Then there are 18 pages titled “My school day” with the date. This is a perfect book for someone who has been teaching for years and might want to add a new or updated idea into their program.

Hard work pays off
Many teachers have learned about growth mindset and try to help students realize that it is not luck or innate ability that provides most good results in school, but often it is hard word and studying – meaning we can all do well if we put in the effort. This is hard for all of us (teacher and student) to remember. This journal reminds teachers not only about student mindset, but also acknowledges the work teachers are doing. (photo) I love the quotes that support the concept such as, “The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.” Franklin D. Roosevelt. Those are combined with entries for teachers about how their room supports learning (photo) and thinking about what makes a good teacher (photo). This book is much more than a teaching journal. It asks teachers to reflect on some hard questions that push us to really embrace the growth mindset, such as listing the words and phrases we use when overcoming a challenging situation or struggle of our own.
