A pricey hot sauce with fantastic heat and flavor...use judiciously.
I'll state up front that I have not tried the lower-heat version of this sauce. Based on the price and my personal tastes I decided to skip straight to this hotter version, and after trying it with several foods I am very pleased with my decision and of course the sauce itself. This sauce has a fantastic, unique flavor profile that will still give a satisfying burn. This is a rich, viscous, high-quality hot sauce and I would generally say that a price point between $10-15 is justified, however that also creates a usage conundrum that I will attempt to describe further below. First of all, when you're paying around $2 per ounce you're going to want to be pretty selective with how and when you use the sauce. This is a legitimate high-end hot sauce...how many of those even exist, and how are they supposed to be used? I came up with a few guidelines: 1) The quality of the food should match the quality of the sauce. Can you put this stuff on a cheap frozen pizza and make the pizza better? Of course you can, but also know that the cheap pizza will make the sauce worse. Quality foods will bring out the best qualities in the sauce. 2) Less is more. Again, this is a rich hot sauce and it doesn't take a lot to make its presence known. Start with a small amount and ramp up as desired, but you don't need much to impact the flavor of foods. Given the cost of this sauce you are probably already trying not to be wasteful or excessive, and this is yet another reason to apply it selectively. 3) While it needs refrigeration after opening, the flavor is maximized above room temperature. If you're applying the sauce to a warm dish, you can probably dab it on straight out of the fridge since the dish will bring it out of its cold state. If you're going to use it on something that isn't so warm, I recommend portioning out the amount that you want and either letting it warm up to room temperature on its own or, if you're in a hurry, microwaving it briefly as if you were softening butter (which is to say, gently). You pay for what you get, so use it wisely and you will be very satisfied with the value, and more importantly the flavor.

Spicy got sauce with a great taste. It does take a bit to get used to.
Good quality, U definitely recommend it! Good-sized bottle. It was a great gift, and I got it at a discounted price. It tasted like a spicy hot sauce to my friend. I bought the habanero black truffle hot sauce with the red label.

Unbelievably delicious
Hot. Not just hot, but delicious. Full of flavor. Good on dang near everything - chicken, pizza, eggs, rice, curry, you name it. If you're a hot sauce lover and haven't tried it, or you know a hot sauce lover, just get it. Get it. Get this one and the white one too, which is probably even more delicious. But then don't be mad at me when you get hooked, please. I am not being compensated in any way for this review. I am just absolutely fanatical about this stuff. It is one of life's pure little joys!

Excellent spicy sauce (6/10 spiciness)
TRUFF has become one of my go to hot sauces. It's not for everyone, as the truffle smell/taste is predominant. I prefer the Hot version of this to the standard one because I like spicy foods. On my scale of 0-10, I'd say this is a solid 6 out of 10 for spiciness. For me, that's enough to flavor the food without overpowering it. The more you have, the more it builds as well and a little bit goes a long way. The price is a bit more expensive than other brands but for me, it's worth it.

I bought this as a gift for my brother
I only got to SMELL this out of the bottle not taste it. So I can't say I can give a good review, but I love the other two bottles they came out with, I love and enjoy the taste of the black and white for myself. My brother loves spicier foods than me and so I got him this as a gift. The smell: Aromatic, SPICIER, and of course most hot sauces do have sugar in some form but this bottle smells less sweet compared to the other two. Not only that, there's jalepenos in this mix, which I'm not a fan of. So it did MILDLY STING MY NOSE FROM "SNIFFING" IT FROM THE BOTTLE. If you dislike the black and white because its sweet and not as spicy, try this. However, don't get your hopes too high, it may surprise you as I've read ridiculous things like "its too spicy" "it hurts my throat" "my poop liquified" "its expensive".... perhaps you can try limiting the amount you eat? Perhaps research? Try sampling it on other foods? When I say sample, don't take it the wrong way and think "I gotta DUNK this in the hot sauce!", no, sampling means to try it a little bit before you get braver and add more. I apologize if I offended anyone with my post but honestly, "this HOT SAUCE is too hot". I even once heard, "this chocolate cake is too chocolatey". for real.

Amazing flavor, perfect heat, you'll never go back
As a long time customer in-store, I've found it's hard to come by on the shelf so I ordered online this time and I wanted to share that this hot sauce will be your go-to if you're a first time buyer. Let me share some details. A lot of people will get it just for the heat factor, it's not the hottest sauce around but it is pleasantly more potent than other brands, but that's where the comparison ends. This sauce here has the best flavor that one could ask for, just a little bit in any recipe in place of other brands completely elevates the flavor profile. It goes good with anything. The black truffle stands out and brings whatever you put it on, or in, to a completely different level. These guys know how to make a great hot sauce and you will not regret your purchase. If you like a little heat the regular one is what I'd recommend but with this one a little goes a long way as well. If you like it hot this is the sauce for you hands down. I swear by truff and I'll never switch back to the big name brands. As a side note and a disclaimer I'm not paid, I didn't receive anything free nor do I wish to, truff is just that good.

Immediately put on your auto ship
I've had this on auto ship for a year plus. This sauce is addicting! It isn't too spicy at all. I've tried cheaper options and nothing compares.

Just misses for me; I like the original better
I loved the "original" Truff sauce, a great mix of sweetness, truffle earthiness and moderate heat. I love it and would give it an easy five stars. So, I decided to try this hotter version. It's still a very good sauce, but, for me, the heat does overwhelm the other tastes, so that I can't sense the other flavors very much. So, I now make sure to only put only a tiny bit of it on every bite I eat with it. If the heat was just a little more tempered, I imagine that the other flavors would come out more, and I would give this an extra two stars. I guess your reaction to this would depend on just how hot you like your hot sauce; I love hot food, but this is just over the limit for me when I use it in the usual quantity of sauce per bite that I like best.
