exceptional performance
I have been using these replacement blades for a few years now. I know some users resharpen these blades but I typically use them until the are dull, both sides, then replace them with new. It is really subjective and hard to measure, however, I just feel that these blades last a bit longer than the Dewalt blades. A lot is going to depend on the type and quantity of material you are putting through your planer at any one time. At worse they perform equally to the Dewalt and since the are between $5-$10 cheaper than the Dewalt they are extremely good value for money. Some reviewers say the quality has dropped but I have not noticed that at all over the 5 years I have been using these blades. Again, a lot depends on what you put through your planer at any given time and there is no guarantee another brand of blades would have performed better given the same circumstances.

Nice cheap alternative.
These fit my dewalt planner (DW734) perfectly and seem to be good quality. I haven't put them thru a real workout yet but they seem everybit as shard as the original blade were (until I over heated them planning a bunch of semi- green rough cut pine- oh the mess sap makes!) Love the nice plastic sleeve these come in. Also well wrapped in anti- corrosion papaer.

Very sharp blades
I bought a used planer and needed new blades. I installed these and planed a board to test them. Very clean planing job.

Planer blades for the DeWalt 734
These are an aftermarket replacement for the DeWalt 734 planer blades and they are less expensive than the original equipment. First of all, never touch the edges of these blades; they are devilishly sharp and will do significant tissue damage without much encouragement. I replaced some well used original equipment blades with these blades and was very pleased with the revitalized planer performance. I planed some old rough-cut cherry with the new set of blades first and it was a joy. The wood surface came out "as smooth as silk". (It was some old, highly colored cherry.) I have just recently installed these blades so I am, so far, unable to comment on their durability of longevity. They installed perfectly in my machine. I recommend using a little lubricant on the retaining screws when they are re-installed. My screws were very tight and hopefully the introduction of a little oil will simplify the process next time. I plan on getting one or two more sets of these blades to keep on hand as this set wears down. So far, my comments are decidedly favorable.

Blades gouging the wood
I honestly thought the blades I previously purchased were bad. I was getting a gouge line through the length of my board. I thought it couldn't be the blades, I rotated them, and that didn't work. I did some research and thought maybe it was something else. I replaced them with these powertec brand. I was now getting double gouge lines. I filed any possible burrs off my chip breaker and other metal rails, vacuumed out the planer, cleaned the rollers, etc. nothing was working. Then I changed my blades back to to factory ones I replaced (due to dullness), the gouge went away. Has to be the blades. I'm just surprised that both these and fox bc blades were causing this. Very disappointed.

Exceeded Expectations
Wasn’t expecting much for the price considering the dewalt ones are double the price. I figured what do I have to lose? After about a week of constant use they still cutting like new even though they have been but up against some really hardwoods. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I will buy these again and save myself some money by not buying the OEM blades from dewalt.

Makes me feel like a pro.
Super easy to install, I have two sets and have made a jig to sharpen them if needed but heck for the price you could most likely just replace them and use the metal for knife blanks. Fit perfectly to my dewalt planer and were half the price of the original OEM part.
