Decalcifier Descaler Solution

Worked perfectly, I dosed up the cleaner to 2/3 bottle of solution. And added two more rinse cycles and back splashed the nacho. Cleaned out a negelected Gaggia Classic 2019v.

Works like a charm on a Gaggia Classic! Went from the flow being low enough to be making poor espresso to being like-new. I guess the boiler had calcium deposits after about 12 months of heavy use! Who knew, I don't even live in hard water place, not really.

I've been using this product for over 10 years. It works! Keeps my Gaggia coffee machine going! Just follow the directions on your coffee maker and it keeps it free of buildup for years.

This worked as intended in the end but the instructions are kind of vague and missing a key step. It said to turn on machine and dispense 2 cups of cleaning solution out the steam wand. That's it for the first step. So I thought it meant just steam it until 2 cups came out. That didn't seem right to me knowing the accumulation of water through steam would take a long time but whatever. I was doing it for several minutes and collecting very little water before realizing this is not how it's supposed to work. After some internet sleuthing on YouTube, I discovered what both the solution and the machine user manual instructions lacked was HOW to dispense 2 cups of the solution. VERY IMPORTANT: You have to activate all three buttons (power, steam wand, and brewing head) and open the steam valve at the same time to get it to dispense the solution without it steaming. Once I figured this out, it was easy. But that lack of this instruction slowed down the process. I ended up rinsing the system with double the amount of water because I'm paranoid about chemical residue being stuck in the system. I would buy again now that I know the process.

We use it for our Gaggia Titanium machine and it seems to work well. The order was filled by Kanen Coffee LLC and it arrived quickly. Using the decalcifier is easy by adding the product to the water tank and ensuring the level is full. The Gaggia manual explains the process which involves pressing the button with the two-tone oval (button is second from the right on the control panel I think) and opening the steam knob into a large bowl when the display indicates. It takes a half hour or so and must be repeated with just cold water in the tank. The trick is at the end when the tank is again filled and ready for use. Our machine requires ventilation which means using a Gaggia tool to force-squeeze water into the rear of the machine while the steam / water knob is open. My Gaggia classic espresso machine was clogged. I live in Arizona and our water here is extremely hard so I assumed it was calcium build-up in my machine. I took it apart, gave it a thorough cleaning, and then ran this descsler through it! Amazing, clog cleared and all of the calcium build up in the tank and hoses was gone! Definitely will start doing this once a month.

This might contain inkjet printer ink - because it's hard to think what other component could make a few grams of citric acid and a cup of water cost so much (and it is clear in the directions that this whole bottle gets used every 3 months). It also contains some kind of "rust inhibitor," but you have to wonder what rust inhibitor would not compromise the action of the acidic descaler (or be toxic to humans). Other than that, it's fine. 1. The instructions that came packed with mine indicated an initial long cycle or two and then 2-3 minute repeat cycles, not 20-30 minute repeat cycles. 2. Watch the tank design of your machine. If the only way to totally empty the tank at the end (to get the last of the descaler out) is to pull it through the front of your machine, you need to let the machine cool for a long time. The descaling process heats everything up a lot. 3. My machine did run noticeably better afterward - but not noticeably better than using powdered descaler. The Gaggia liquid is more convenient, but it is not more effective. 4. This descaler is not for use on chrome-plated parts like your portafilter. Use Urnex coffee pot cleaner for those. Don't be afraid to let things soak. You can also fill a "pressurized" filter basket with Urnex to help get the oils off it (the descaler only attacks calcium deposits - not coffee gunk).

Meine alte Gaggia habe ich ca. 5 Jahre nicht mehr benutzt. Jetzt wollte ich sie reaktivieren. Zunächst passierte gar nichts. Also diesen Reiniger bestellt. Die Lieferung erfolgte prompt. Sofort laut Anweisung eingesetzt. Nach 3 oder 4 Durchläufen war die Maschine wie neu. Also eindeutig eine Empfehlung.

Funciona bien para descalcificar. Un poco caro pues se usa TODA la botella para un solo proceso.
