Storus Smart Valet Tray-Desk, Night Stand Personal Organizer

Arrived USPS Priority in three business days from ship date and was extremely carefully packaged with both Styrofoam to cushion it and plastic to protect the wood. Will make a great addition to my dresser top. One thing to note is that the finish is a very slightly shade darker than it might appear in the picture. Think mid-to-dark oak instead of light-oak. Very elegant and solidly built per expectations from the other reviews. It even has a little slot at the back of the phone compartment for a charging cord, and little silicone feet on the bottom to keep it from scratching my dresser (was expecting to have to add my own), which were both nice and unexpected bonuses. Pretty much my only complaint is that they don't make a larger version or I'd buy it in a second. Eileen Gettys mentioned being disappointed by the small size, but it's easy to tell how small it is from the picture which has a 20 dollar bill, a wristwatch, keys and quarters all for scale, so I knew what I was getting. Maybe the picture was different when Eileen ordered/reviewed it a month and a half ago. Anyway, one of the better third-party products I've bought through Amazon.

I developed a bad habit of putting my wallet, keys and watch on the back of my recliner when I came home from work. If I ever nudged it, it would rock and send all my stuff to the floor or under the cushion. I searched the internet for days trying to find the perfect valet. I didn't really care if it had a lid or not, I was looking for one with the right number of spaces that were the right size to hold my stuff. The Storus turned out to be perfect. Watch, keys, wallet, spare change, pens, cell phone, garage door opener - everything has its place. No more, no less. There's even a slot for your cell phone charger cable. Price was reasonable. Only thing, I had to buy a small table to put it on, rather than on the recliner. But that's another review.

Just as advertised, and a bit more. This is not a cheap piece of wood with an oak finish, this is oak wood; solid, sturdy. The two front sections, which are great for keys and coins, have a front ledge that is constructed on a forward angle, making it quite easy to retrieve coins from the bottom of these sections. The larger three sections are built in such a way as to allow wallet, etc. to lean slightly to the rear of the caddy and keeps items from tumbling forward. I ordered this for a Father's Day gift on June 2. Amazon's Delivery estimate was: June 6, 2013 - June 11, 2013. I just got it today on June 18. Father's Day was last Sunday. I checked the tracking and they shipped out the package on June 6, then it took until June 11 to get to the "carrier" in CA, whatever that means. Then it took another 7 days to get to me. I think that time frame is unacceptable. Very disappointed. I do like the product and will be keeping it, even though the actual product is a little darker than the photo.

Unfortunately, its sections were too small for the oversized wallet, medications and other items that my husband keeps in his pockets and that I would love to have in a valet that could hold it all and keep his bedstand neat. Both of us hated that it did not work for us because of the great charger station that can be set up in one of the rear sections.I would recommend this tray to anyone who carries a money clip instead of a wallet and whose pocket contents are fewer and less cumbersome than my husband's are.

Got this to help keep my husband's dresser tidy and it does just that. He immediately "got it" and now puts his keys, wallet, and cell phone into the holder each day. I'm no longer answering the question from elsewhere in the house "have you seen my ______?!" He now knows exactly where to look. Yea!

The valet tray is well built, is shipped is a sturdy cardboard and nestled in styrofoam. Why 3 stars? It's small and the compartments are a little too small for the stuff I carry in my pockets. For example the instructions recommend the back left compartment hold a pen. A normal ballpoint pen brushes the walls, and if it has a bit of a cushion grip it won't fit at all.

This was better quality than I was expecting. A warm medium tone oak, feels solid, has small rubber feet on the bottom to prevent scratching the surface. Fits the usual pocket contents (wallet, keys, change) and smartphone with case fits in the rear (interior dimensions for the phone slot are approximately 3.5" x 1.25"). Very pleased.
