Best anchor for my inflatable boat
I own a 12.5 foot inflatable heavy duty boat and was looking to replace a mushroom style anchor that just didn’t work for this boat and this anchor just grabs on!! I mainly fish south Texas flats in the laguna madre and it holds up well in sand, mud, shell and grassy areas. You NEED a chain attached to the anchor for at least 5 feet or so. I use a galvanize chain.

Great anchor
Best holding anchor I’ve ever used. Our 23’ boat didn’t move in heavy winds/seas with the 22 lb anchor. It’s not the most well finished anchor you can buy, but it works very well.

Great priced ugly anchor!
Wow this anchor looks like it was cast in someone's backyard! The beauty is I dont care how it looks, it is the right size and the right price. I haven't used it yet so will definitely update if I have any issues. A minor issue was that the hole on the forward end of the anchor was a bit small so I had to drill it out for a clevis. Seems I have seen this problem on other anchors though so not a big deal. I will be using it for bottom fishing in 100+ ft water off florida coast.

Mounting hole needs to be drilled to a larger size.
Not bad for price....but the mounting hole for shackle needs to be drilled out unless you want to use a very small shackle.

18ft Pontoon
Does pretty good with 18ft pontoon. Only issues I've had is in mud bottoms with choppy water, you will drift a tad. Once it locks onto a rock or log etc, it stays firmly attached. Defiantly a great anchor for multiple bottom conditions

looks very nice for a kayak
I got the 2 kg. Well made, nicely galvanized. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like a chain to hold the shaft down is necessary. The angle of the shaft relative to the claw is almost parallel, so holding the claw to where it digs in seems very close. I attached 12' chain to deal with that. I am expecting it to work out very well especially in sand, mud, oyster shell. It does have an eye down at the business end for attaching a release line, but the need for that on this weight anchor would be unusual, I think. The box it came in was pretty beat up on delivery, but, it's an anchor. No damage.
