It being a pin and not a clip has the trombone tilting at times. Also required puncturing the tie fabric. But it looks good.

It is unfortunate I paid expedited shipping for a GOLD TROMBONE pin as a gift and received a SILVER FLUTE merely days before he'd wear it for the commencement ceremony for graduating college. It was quite embarrassing to watch my friend open up this gift & the confusion in his eyes. Please double check orders before sending them. Google Images can be useful in determining what trombones look like. It is helpful to learn the difference between instruments before customizing them as products.

this pin is very well-made, beautiful, and exactly "right" as a trombone replica. The case is fabulous -- just like the interior of a real trombone case. Wonderful as a tie-pin, or lapel pin.
