Sioux Chief 660-H 3/4" Female X 3/4" Male Mini Rester Water Hammer Arrester

My home is older with no PRV installed on the main water line to the house, so naturally the water hammering is excessive with an LG high efficiency washing machine (that must have been designed by plumbers to make more money on burst pipes). Not good for older, or any pipes for that matter.Don't do what I did and waste your time going to the big HD store and purchase an inferior product (1st photo shows theirs on the left, this product to the right) The big box store product stopped the water hammering for maybe two washes before failing, and I even tried installing two of those on one line to see if that would help, it did not.Now to this product, it works amazingly. No hammering since I installed it, and been going for the past week with no issues. As you can see in the photo, this one is taller and a little bigger in diameter, which is what you want in a product such as this. I really appreciated how much less this brand stuck out from the back of the machine as well. Especially since I didn't have the space to install it inside the water box at the main valve. I hope to get at least a year out of these before they fail, but even if it's less than that I'll still be going back to this brand.

I needed to replace two that failed and these fit the bill.

Though we didn't specifically have a major water hammer issue, to satisfy our HOA and the recommendation of a plumbing technician, we ended up getting these.It took a few attempts to make sure it was installed right due to a very small drip at the connection point. Once we fixed that, there is clearly no excess pressure on our lines. Now if only the condo neighbor would install hers...whole other ball of wax...sigh

Product details state that three units are included when actually only one is included. Ridiculous price to pay for only one item. Use your money wisely and purchase elsewhere.

Tried Lowe's and Home depot brand which are cheaper, still hoses shaking like crazy, plumber told me to use only Siuox brand, hook them up directly to the washer, smooth sailing!! Thses autosensing washer throw so much pressure back into the lines, these are needed to avoid costly plumbing issues

Package arrived on time, but contrary to the product description, did NOT contain three arrestors. Q&A section confirms three units, but it does NOT.

Works well

I put these hammer arrestors on the washing machine. Easy to install. I could see, hear and feel the difference immediately. Money well spent for sure.
