365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Forest Berry Trail Mix, 14 Ounce

It is a great product but is it worth the price? I decided to make my own version to find out. I went with blueberry (I found a bag of almonds and blueberry mix on Amazon) and milk chocolate mini peanut buttercups (I didn't want to take the time to unwrap the dark chocolate ones). The only problem I had was finding an affordable, non-spicy cashew (Amazon only had bags for upwards of $6 or more and everything else was only a couple of dollars so I switched out the cashews for pistachios. My thoughts on my mix: go for the dark chocolate mini peanut butter cups. Even if you have to take the time to unwrap them, the taste is much more suited to the mix. As for the price of the original, I don't know if the cost of cashews alone makes it worthwhile for the cost of the product as a whole. Maybe as a special treat.

Backcountry Bundle has apparently been dropped from the WFM private label product line. We have relied on its basic excellence for years and years. It's our go-to snack at home. Customer service confirmed that its disappearance from the shelf at our local WFM indeed means it's been discontinued (except for what's left in bulk). We hereby submit our vote of support to return it the product line. No other WFM 365 trail mix is as basic, satisfying and not cloyingly sweet or rich: No peanuts, no cashews, no chocolate, no exotic dried fruit (that gets old fast). Just almonds, pistachios, raisins, cranberries and cherries.

This is a super good trail mix with a good variety of ingredients that work really well together. However, the chocolate used on the mini peanut butter cups isn’t tempered right, because it starts melting the moment it even thinks it might be touched. It’s soft even sitting in room-temp pantry. So that makes it a messy snack. Could have been just the batch, or the package itself went through wild tenp fluctuations during shipping that ruined the temper, i do not know.

A great trail mix and great value for an organic snack. Always fresh and delicious!

Good and tasty wake up in the morning coffee! It as the caffeine we need. Definitely my go-to.

Great product

This is an excellent, delicious mix of nuts and chocolate, with the dried cherries to provide that perfect piquant, sweet flavor - if you're lucky enough to get a cherry in your handful. Like mixes that are peanut-based, this trail mix is overloaded with the cheapest ingredient, which is almonds. With each package I buy, I end up with a bowl of separated almonds that I eat later. Maybe this is a fine, fairly priced product, and that's just the way it is since dried cherries are $$$ per pound. But still, I'm planning to try buying the ingredients separately at another grocer and mix this up myself when the pandemic situation is over.
