Handmade Clean Dirty Dishwasher Magnet Sign for the Kitchen or Laundry, White

There are all sorts of clean/dirty magnets on the market. I've even made some to use myself, but there is nothing more convenient than this Clean Dirty Magnet Sign. Once affixed to the dishwasher, it doesn't need to be moved. Just a tiny flick of the tab will change the sign from "clean" to "dirty."Want to stick it on a plastic or tile surface? No problem. The sign includes a sticky-backed magnetic strip to use on surfaces that don't hold magnets.I have a white dishwasher, so I bought a white sign. It's made of what looks like card stock and a very thin plastic cover, but I wouldn't know it from a distance. The clean, sleek lines make it appear like part of the dishwasher. Very nice. I'd buy it again.

I have had this product for a few months now, and I really like it. From the pictures, it was hard for me to tell exactly how it works. There is a clear tab that slides left for clean and slides right for dirty. Very simple and practical design. It does appear to be made out of thicker card stock paper, but I have never had the problem of getting it wet. The magnet has good strength and it has never fallen off my dishwasher. It is a good size without being bulky or looking like clutter. I'm clearly able to tell whether it says clean or dirty from across my kitchen. I purchased the red sign with white lettering to go with all my red and stainless appliances, and it looks really nice! I have even received compliments from friends about how nice it is. I would recommend this product.

I needed some help,so of course I looked up Amazon. I check with Amazon before I purchase almost everything. My grandchildren, husband, and visitors are lovely and helpful to me when I can't get up.(due to health problems). They cook and eat and pile the dishes in the dishwasher w/o checking with me first. Because I scrape and rinse everything before I put them in the d/w, they don't know if they're soiled or clean. I'm a germ sheriff since my surgery and wash all my eating utensils, dishes, & glasses on the sterilize setting. This easy to read sign is a good thing for me.(Martha Stewart's 'mantra') With a flick of a finger it changes from clean to dirty and back again. Marvelous, no more double wash cycles. I had a hard time picking from all of the colors offered for this item. I couldn't decide between a color that would go well in our kitchen or more of a non-color that would blend with the dishwasher. I took a gamble and picked this silver model to match our stainless steel dishwasher. (I flipped a coin between silver and gunmetal.) This one looks perfect on our dishwasher.I love the simple sliding action of this sign. This is a lot more practical than a magnet where you actually twist the magnet back and forth. This one won't scratch the dishwasher.As another reviewer pointed out, yes, this item is made out of paper and it could get damaged if you get it wet.Solution: Don't get it wet.Seriously, are people having water balloon fights in their kitchens? I never get the front of my dishwasher wet, so this shouldn't be an issue.EDIT: By the way, I don't usually comment on shipping, but since this isn't an Amazon Prime eligible item, shipping & service are relevant to comment upon. I don't normally buy items that don't qualify for Prime shipping, but this clean/dirty magnet was just what I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast shipping. I think I ordered it on a Friday and it arrived in Tuesday's mail. That's great.

Yes, like the other reviews say, the materials this is made out of seem a little like a craft project. I still think it looks really good, though. It helps to see at a glance if the dishwasher has dirty dishes in it, without having to open the dishwasher and stare into the bottom of a glass to see if there is any sign of milk. The only thing I don't like is that the sign tab slides so easily that sometimes you may accidentally brush up against it and change the sign.

Let me just say I am the guilty one in the house. I lack the ability to see that tiny little light that tells you if the dishes are clean or not. I was tired of getting in trouble for opening it to check, not unloading it due to lack of time, and causing havoc! I needed something more obvious, design and convenience were important to me as well. I really liked the Clean Dirty magnet sign. While I read on other reviews it was made of paper, I was a bit worried. However, when I received my sign I was pleasantly surprised. This is a nicely made sign! Yes, it is made of paper, but it is that heavy card stock and a nice quality one. Plus you never really touch the paper since the sign is encased in plastic to protect it. While I don't think it could withstand a dunk in the sink (who knows maybe it could) I know I could easily wipe off any splatter from cooking or cleaning that gets on it. The item look exactly like the picture and I am really glad I went with this product over others.

I was a little disappointed at first because it wasn't made out of tin as I assumed I was.It's made out of plastic covered paper.I'd give it a five ⭐ if it was made from tin.Ive only had my magnet a week or so, time will tell if it's going to hold up.

It makes life so easy to have the dish washer marked dirty or clean. Multiple people use the kitchen and one is always asking the other, are the dishes clean or dirty? This way we can mark dirty or clean on the dish washer. The only thing I didn't realize which isn't a big deal, is the magnet won't attach to stainless steel. So it also came with a sticky backing so I used that for the base and stuck it to the plastic part where the dials are and it has never fallen off. Very secure and works great!
