Deluxe Rummy with Wooden Racks in Attache Case

Beautiful set! This is a Rummy Tile set, not Rummikub but it is made so much better...I LOVE the quality! The tiles are heavy and thick and the colors are bright and easy to tell the difference between the orange and red and also the blue and black. The racks hold more tiles than the Rummikub set and are sturdy. We especially like that they hide all your tiles. We play Rummikub with this set ~ the only difference is the two wild tiles have stars on them instead of the Rummikub face and there are two extra blank tiles which we don't use. We use the case to shake and mix up the tiles and then each player opens the case and without looking draws their tiles. I also like the fact that the tiles have a resin coating covering the whole tile including the color which should help from fading and wearing off. The only negative I have with this set is that it came with a slit cut thru the vinyl coating on the case. Other people have had this problem also. We just took some super glue and glued it back so it wouldn't tear further.

We were thrilled to see this photo on Amazon which showed the tiles were card faces (king, queen, jack), not numbers 11-13. When I received it, all the tiles were numbers. 1 through 13. The carrying case is not even the same as in the photo. And the numbers were not even the card suits as shown in the website photo, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs, and Hearts. The photo should be changed. For the price, I was expecting the card faces. If I wanted 1-13, I would have purchased a less expensive set.This is very disappointing for the price! Please fix your photos because I, too, was looking for the face cards.

I have had a set of rummy tiles for over 30 years. I bought my second set for my grand daughter, age 7, mainly as a thinking game. Turns out the whole family loves to play. When there is a party the tiles are set up for anyone to join in at any time. Great way to meet new people. My third set I brought for my 42 year old son, who now has game night once a week for all his friends. Again, this is one of the most popular game. My original set is much heavier and each tile is more decorative but sadly they don't make it anymore. This one is the best out there.

Liked the box except the hinges. Like the tiles and the racks. You do have to be carefull when you place the game box on a wood table with the handle carrying handle up as the hinges are "sharp" and not recessed and may scratch the surface the box is placed on. Otherwise great. However, the one feature that needs attention is the directions/game rules that come with this game. We have been playing Rummikube for a while. The first game I purchased was munufactured by Pressman and I also have it on my IPhone and the directions for the game are a bit differnet between the two. Going on line I have found that game play rules are slightly different depending on who manufactured or created the game. I understand the differences. But the directions that came with this game need some serious corrections. If this is someone's first experience with Rummikube they may be confused and may not undersand enough to actually play the game. Game instructions are bad and need to be rewritten by someone familar with the game (and maybe the English language).

This is a GREAT value and product. Some may think the pieces are a little small, which they are, but I have no problem with that. The pieces are solid weight and the wooden racks are fantastic. The biggest issue with most rummy cube products are the racks because the pegs break. No pegs here! The wooden racks stand up with more wood attached by hinges. The case is also great for keeping everything in one place and not taking up a lot of space. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in buying rummy cube (which should be everyone!)

I have bought this product or a very similar product before. the case is nice and the tiles are OK but the stands are unvarnished and not smooth - the attached hinge is a good idea but isn't deep enough to give proper balance.Such a shame it is not a cheap product that is really let down by the quality if the stands

I was replacing my Rummikub set because the the paint had worn off many of the tiles (after less than a year of use). While this set not billed as Rummikub it is effectively the same game.. These tiles are great--a little bit larger and the numbers are etched into the face of the tile so the paint should not wear off. The case is nice but the wooden racks are very cheaply made, hold only two rows of tiles and are virtually unusable. I threw them out and am using the old plastic racks from my original game with the new tiles. The old plastic racks of course don't fit in the new case so I don't use that either. All in all this is an expensive way to get much better quality tiles. That being said I don't think any of the other Rummikub sets have tiles that are etched---the numbers are just painted on and wear off easily. Despite the fact that I don't use the racks or case, this purchase should be worth it in the long run. Otherwise I'd have to buy a new Rummikub game every year or so to replace the tiles.

This Rummy Cube Game is far better than I expected and is the perfect gift for my friend. I know she will be truly pleased with her gift !This set is of the best quality in that the tiles for example are of the perfect thickness and not only are the numbers painted but they are also indented. Also, the trays are a very nice stained real wood tray designed to last and lastly this case is not only attractive but very durable.Thank you for your follow-up. I truly appreciate it!Beth Miller
