The media could not be loaded. This picnic basket is great, it comes with basically everything you'd need to have a picturesque picnic for 2, minus the food and drinks. The blanket is nice and soft, and folds up pretty compactly into the basket, the flatware and plates look nice, and it's certainly a step up from plastic or paper plates. The insulated containers included have plenty of space for sandwiches, cheeses, fruit, or other picnic fare, along with an insulated sleeve for a bottle of wine or sparkling cider, with wine goblets as well. everything fits pretty well into place (though some of the straps take a bit of work to open at first, they seem to have loosened up a bit after a few times opening and closing them) so the whole package is pretty easy to carry. Overall this has been a great buy and inspired me to go out and do some picnicing.

The design of the bag was so thoughtfully put together and it really considered every detail. This is great quality and is the perfect gift. This has quickly become my go-to wedding present and I’m incredibly excited to take this on all of my adventures. The packaging was shipped very safely, securely, and was delivered in a few days. The handle makes transport even easier than I was expecting and exceeded all of my expectations. I am blown away by this product and am repeatedly thrilled with the Picnic Time products. They are tried and true and highly recommend this and looking into their other products. I will continue to update this review with my picnic adventure pictures once our rainy season ends!

We bought this for ourselves and as a wedding gift. We've used it a few times, and it is beautiful, but with all the glass you have to be very careful where you take it, wind conditions, etc. Yesterday we opened up the thermos for the first time ever to use, filled it up, and it leaked all over the basket. The black part that snaps into the close mechanism was just sitting in the bottom of the thermos in the cucumber water. We tried everything and think it had to be shipped broken - someone in assembly just closed it together with the broken piece in the thermos. It could not have broken in the shipping.For this price, it should all be in perfect order. It's too bad it was a long time after we bought it that we discovered this. So if you buy it, check it all out immediately, even things you might not think you will use. I could not figure out how to contact the manufacturer to get a thermos replacement. This review may help! I hope the people we gifted it to did also not have problems!

This is hands down one of my best purchases I have ever made online. The quality of not only the basket, but all the pieces contained within it are exceptional. My only possible complaint is that there are only two food containers and once everything is in the basket, there is no real room for food. If you eat light, it's not a problem, but I end up having to carry another bag with me full of food whenever I go on a picnic.I bought this basket to attach to my commuter bike, though, and it works for that. I have a matching front basket, so I usually fill that with the rest of the food if I'm doing a day picnic I can ride to. It has brought me great joy. The blanket is soft flannel and not substantial, but if you use it just to sit on, it is highly functional. The basket is top-heavy without food in it due to the stainless steel cutlery and the porcelain plates. The wine glasses are glass and the mugs are stainless steel as well. The napkins are cloth and there is even a carrying case that the food containers fit into. Essentially, if you are looking for a high-class picnic basket, this is it!Overall I can't rave about this basket enough.

I recently purchased this as an anniversary gift for my fiancee and she was thrilled with it.It came packaged well and no parts were completely damaged. The thermos does have something inside the vacuum chamber that rattles around and I may press Picnic Time for a replacement.We got a chance to test it out over the weekend and here's the verdict:Construction:Solid and sturdy. I had reservations about the wicker material but it has held up well under the weight of a fully packed lunch. The handle seems strong and I had no problem toting it around the park, though the weight makes it unpleasant to carry long distances.The leather straps were tight but easily broke in and the interior straps hold everything securely. The flatware, salt and pepper shakers, wine core, wine key, glasses, plates and mugs and held securely with the straps and don't shift when carrying. The plates are held with a metal clasp while the glasses, mugs, and shelf insert are fastened with velcro which makes removing them much easier.The flatware is made of a heavy steal and appears to be well constructed. The spoons are very small compared to a tablespoon. All pieces have a thin, cylindrical shaft that is not uncomfortable to hold.The two plates included are 6 inches in diameter and are ceramic. Other reviewers have had them test positive for lead so they will likely be replaced if my tests show the same results.The wine glasses are made of glass and are 6 inches tall. Small compared to a regular wine glass.The steel mugs have a plastic handle and are also small compared to a regular coffee mug.The cheese board is made of bamboo and is 6" x 6". There were quality issues with the cutting board which has splinters of bamboo along the edges and needs to be sanded to avoid an unpleasant experience.The cheese knife has a sharp serrated edge and wooden handle.The salt and pepper shakers have perforated tops that label themselves with an 'S' and 'P'.The wine stopper is cork with a metal ring.The wine key is adequate but low to moderate quality.The included food containers consist of an insulated corduroy zippered pouch with a handle and two tupperware food containers that measure 10"x5"x3" and 6"x6"x3". The tupperware is of average quality and the lids can be difficult to close securely.I mentioned the coffee thermos earlier that is defective with a piece of metal that rattles around inside the vacuum chamber. I have not tested the thermos yet to see how long it will keep liquids hot/cold. The plastic seal around the cap appears to have been damaged too.Wine can be kept in the included insulated, corduroy bag.The blanket is a thin fleece with a nylon edge and measures 4' x 5'.Two plaid cloth napkins are also included.There is a small wicker shelf that can be used to separate the wine/thermos from the food, and can be secured with two velcro leather straps but I removed this as it seemed to take up more space than it was worth.With the exception of the cheese board and thermos, I am pleased with the components. Other reviewers have mentioned that they expected higher quality pieces for the $$$ and I am inclined to agree. I previously purchased other Picnic Time picnic baskets and returned them due to poor quality. It appears that this is the top of the line for their picnic baskets. Williams-Sonoma carries the 4-person version of this basket but that seemed too big for my needs. I have been unable to find a better picnic basket at this price-point and hope that we get many years of use from this one.
