DENGJIA 7.5 Inch Blade Forged Chef Knife Kitchen Meat Cleaver and Chinese Chef Knife with Labor-saving Wooden Handle

I was very skeptical that I would need another knife when chef friends suggested I get a chai dao as I learn to cook Chinese food, but I got one anyway. This one is amazingly useful, and has become one of my favorite knives. The build quality is great, the metal is pristine, and right out of the box it didn't require any sharpening or conditioning. The balance is just right, and the weight isn't off-putting like many western cleavers. The only downside, to me, is the wooden handle texture. I, personally, can't stand the unfinished wood feel -- so I just pop a glove on while cooking with it.

The wood handle as I mentioned in my previous review, was not completely flush with the tang, and had a slight gap, which will allow bacteria to accumulate. Apparently the seller did not like that and pushed back on that review. So, since this is coming up again, I am reiterating this, plus I have already returned the product. It is a nice knife, but with all the weird viruses cropping up everywhere, I am more cautious of the food I am preparing, as well as the utensils used to prepare them with, especially if it has wood which is porous. I have seen some wood handles that are very well manufactured, and notably very easy to maintain.

This knife I cut a fish and then it became like this... It is not recommended to buy! It can only cut vegetables

The chopper is good but the first day I got it chop up some chicken and the blade was damage. I think it’s too soft at the edge
