Good charger, tough springs
This has been a pretty decent charger. I have thrown a few different 18650 batteries at it, and it has done well at charging them. My only complaint is the strength of the springs for the bottom contacts. They are overly strong. Strong enough that you cannot just tip a battery into a slot to push the bottom contacts back to accommodate the battery. I actually have to push it back with one finger and then quickly push in the battery. I have also had the top post on a couple of my batteries get dented inward due to the strength of these springs. They are still usable, but that really punctuates just how strongly those springs retract the bottom contact of the charger.

NITECORE i4 Intellicharge Battery Charger - Thumbs Up!
I own quite a few high output flashlights of varying price ranges that require the 18650 Li-ion battery. My previous charger can only charge two batteries at a time and I wanted to be able to charge four batteries simultaneously to save time. My favorite flashlight brand is Nitecore, since their flashlights are great; I figured their charger would be the same great quality. Fortunately, I was right! It can charge just about every type of battery I have in the house and the charger is able to recognize the battery composition and voltage all by itself, its plug and play for the user. Be aware that this charger is not a fast charger, depending on the capacity of your batteries; it could take a few hours to charge a set of batteries. Please keep in mind that most batteries hate being heated, which occurs more often with fast chargers. Once I charged my batteries, they felt cool to the touch… Cool batteries = longer life. A great feature of this charger is its ability to monitor each battery individually. Shortly after initiating the charging process (inserting batteries and plugging in charger), the charger will tell you the status of each battery and you can see how depleted your batteries are and when you might expect a full charge. The colors of the LED will not change.Product features: Capable of charging 4 batteries simultaneously, each of the four battery slots monitors and charges independently, Automatically identifies Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries, Features three charging modes (CC, CV and Trickle Charge), Automatically detects battery status and selects the appropriate voltage and charge mode, Automatically stops charging when complete, Features reverse polarity protection, compatible with: Li-ion: 26650, 22650, 18650, 17670, 18490, 17500, 17335, 16340(RCR123), 14500, 10440 Ni-MH/Ni-Cd: AA, AAA, C.

My Particular Charger Did Not Work Properly
While shopping for a battery charger for 18650 batteries, I was thrilled to find this charger that is capable of charging AA's & AAA's as well as 18650's. I liked the way it automatically identified each battery type when they are inserted into the charger and the auto-shutdown / trickle charge feature when batteries are fully charged. I was also confident because of the many favorable reviews on Amazon. When the charger arrived, I had not yet received the 18650 batteries I ordered. I tested the unit by charging some rechargeable AA's that were recently charged & the unit worked properly, indicating that they were almost fully charged already. The next day, my 18650 batteries arrived & I loaded them in the charger. The bottom row of lights started blinking, as they should. Five hours later, the same bottom row of lights were still blinking & the other two lights above it were not working. I removed the batteries & put them in another charger. ("Orbtronic.") That charger correctly indicated that all four were fully charged. I reviewed the directions again to make sure I was using the unit properly (which I was). I returned the defective charger.

Seems to be a couple steps up on the run of the mill
Have only used it once but my initial impression is that it is good quality. I bought this for it versatility, as I am converting to all rechargeable batteries, by purchasing rechargeable batteries and appliances that use them. While I have yet to check, it appears to be as advertised. I have been recovering from several medical procedures, it is within my ability to check products out on line and compare spec's and pricing, it is a little beyond me at the moment to actually use or test some of my purchases. The other side of it is I do have time to write limited reviews. I am using a Monster AA/AAA charger to judge on a comparison of a 4 battery charger, that is pretty heavy duty. I am also using various brand of portable chargers, some that can be used to convert 12 volt DC to charge the batteries. So look for more reviews on charging products.I just ordered some rechargeable batteries made in Japan and sold under Amazon Brand. I have used the Amazon brand that come from China and so far found them to be an excellent value. As with all reviews I write, if I find that that something changes, either negative or positive, I will update review

Best for vaping and heavy duty batteries...
I've had 7 or 8 different chargers and this is well worth spending the extra money for! It works fantastic! I love how you can do multiple battery sizes at the same time, how it's self regulating, and the safety features it has. I've had mine running every day for around a year now and haven't had one single issue with mine whatsoever. I know you can use these for all kinds of batteries but 99% of what I use mine for is my different batteries for my vapes/mods and it is just perfect when it comes to this stuff! I'm primarily charging batteries 18650 or larger but I do occasionally use it for AA & AAA batteries too. It is also faster then all of my other chargers I have or have used in the past. I definitely recommend this charger, especially if anyone is considering using it for the same purposes I do (primarily for vape batteries or heavy-duty batteries). It is 100% worth spending the extra money for this and if it does ever break I'll never buy anything else. 👍👍👍

Extremely, uncomfortably HOT!!
I bought this with the intention of being able to charge many torch batteries, including spares, at the same time. I wasn't able to comfortably finish charging the batteries however before realising how hot the charger was getting, fealt almost too hot to touch.Have returned the product as was worried it might start a fire!!

Excellent Charger
Am really pleased with this charger, it's ideal for me .I just bought a mod that requires 3 1865 batteries. They are "unprotected" so needed a good charger that cut off when fully charged. This charger does just that. A good looking, well made and robust item, easy to use, perfect for my requirements. I would recommend this charger to anyone who uses high drain batteries. The price is quite reasonable too.

Don't bother if you in the UK
Comes with a EU plug, managed to get an adapter which works with other things and this doesn't ever power on! Wish I'd read the reviews 1sr they seem to be more trouble than they're worth.

Dangerous!
I purchased this charger as already own a nitecore charger, however this unit when connected and charging batteries discharged a very strong smell of electrical burning and was incredibly hot to touch. You could smell burning from across another room! Potentially life threatening if this was left unnoticed or unsupervised. Maybe just a bad unit, however id certainly stay clear of this product, for safety more than anything...
