Happy customer
Wow, I can't even express how good this product is, the texture is so smooth and it holds so well, my hair has never looked so good, I definitely will be trying out more products from this brand, so satisfied with my purchase.

Control your hair without looking like you did
My hair is thick, and grows pretty much straight out my head. The only way to have my hair take a style other than “mid-electrocution” is to use some sort of product. I’ve tried lots of different things (pomades, styling creams, not showering, Mobil 5W30) but I generally hated using them because they made my hair look and feel like that of a New Jersey bouncer. I really don’t like having greasy hair.I’m really glad I got to try this stuff. While it goes on like a regular styling cream, once it dries it actually makes your hair softer than before, and yet somehow stays in place. Basically, if you have thick unmanageable hair, this stuff will somehow change your hair on a molecular level to the normal hair of a person that dated in high school. It smells fine, but not something you normally associate with hair. Sort of like standing between a hair salon and an Italian restaurant, in terms of scent. I assume that's due to the Rosemary. So, given that this stuff is so great, why four stars instead of five? Because it’s overpriced. Jack Black recently lowered the amount of product, but kept the price the same. The tube you get is far less than half full. Unless they were losing money before, they are price gouging now. You used to get about 18% more in a bottle than you do now. Unlike a pomade, you’ll go through a bottle of this fairly quickly with daily use, so I think $15 is a bit high. In fact, it works out to be about as expensive per ounce as the historical value of silver. Or $550 per gallon. No matter how you look at it, this is a lot of money for stuff you put in your hair. (Incidentally, the company is named not after the actor, who would never overcharge for hair product, but was a name completely made up by the company before the actor became well-known. Apparently, it sounded like an approachable name, somebody you would trust enough to not bother to check the weight on the package.)At the end of the day, I can definitely recommend this stuff, but also recommend that you try other less expensive options first.

Honest review - great product
This is beyond what I was looking for. I’ve tried countless hair products over the last 20 years and this is among the best. Quick and simple breakdown.Goes in extremely easy, like lotion. Slicks hair back and holds in place without feeling glued to your hair and tacky. Highly recommend.

Nice texture but barely has any hold
I have thicker, flat hair and this product does nothing for me except provide a little texture. It's supposed to be for someone who wants a little shape and maybe some sheen.Does it work? Yes. But it's too light.

Good, lighter weight creme for my thick hair.
I am older, but still have all my hair and just a bit of gray--is usually 3-5 inches long, and is still pretty thick all over. It's dryer than it used to be, and still has some wave and body after daily shampooing and towel drying (try not to use hair dryer). I've been using Bumble & Bumble Styling Creme for about 20 years, but have also tried others from time to time. B&B is a very light "hold" on my hair, easy to apply evenly in a small amount and washes clean. I've had a number of JB products, and have been happy (but they are expensive). After reading some reviews decided to give this a try as I recently trashed the Crew (light) product and some other products from my barber/stylist--all weres too heavy, thick and dry to an unflattering finish after a whole day. This JB product is a little heavier than the B&B, but I like it a lot, especially after getting a haircut and for the first 2-3 weeks--when it gets to 4-5 weeks the B&B performs better I think. Hardly any fragrance, goes a long way, reasonable price, finsihes to matte, slight shine at first. What I wanted--I will rebuy it, and keep B&B in reserve.

I really love this product!
For me, fixing up my hair is a pain. I have chosen to grow my hair out again, this time because of COVID, and keeping it tame isn't really a daily endeavor. BUT for those few times I actually have to get dressed up for work, family, or a date night with the Mrs. this product really does an amazing job of making doing my hair easy. The product itself doesn't really have a strong scent. I'd say there isn't one but my wife said she likes the smell so there has to be something there. The hold is light but firm. I usually work it into my hair while it is wet and then dry it out, but I've also used it when my hair is damp and let it air dry. In both scenarios, my hair looks great! The texture cream leaves my hair with it's natural shine and body. Basically gives me the look and hold I want each time. And it's workable, so if I mess up something (normal) it is easily fixable.I really do love this product and it is one I'll keep coming back to!

Applies a little bit of some hold and body
I guess am still looking for the perfect product. I want something that adds a little bit of some moisture to the hair and also somebody and hold. Summary of the products either turn your hair into a glue factory or the product that holds the hair place dries out your hair. This one's pretty good. It does add somebody. It does provide mild hold. It gives your hair a little sheen.I've overall been very pleased with the Jack Black product.Try this one. It certainly is well-made, does the job, and doesn't look like you have some form of ultra hold putty on your head
