Size up. My hands are 9" around. But the L was just entirely too snug. The XL was what I had originally needed. The gloves are amazing. I've worn them in below freezing temperatures outside for extended hours (while moving). They do phenomenal. This is a glove you will want to wear on it's own. It's a very bulky glove, primarily because of the insulation. That being said, I can't imagine trying to fit SHELLS over these. If you are looking for a glove to wear inside SHELLS, this is not the glove you would line SHELLS with. But this is an exceptional glove to wear on its own in temperatures exceeding freezing. SEEMED LIKE A LOT OF VALUE, SO I ORDERED, FIRST PAIR CAME BUT REFRIGIWEAR LABEL WAS LOOSE AND DANGLING ON ONE SIDE, ORDERED SIZE XL, RIGHT GLOVE FIT FINE, LEFT GLOVE HAD LUMPS IN LINING AND WAS MUCH SMALLER THAN RIGHT, SO I RETURNED FOR AN EXCHANGE T, HINKING I WAS UNLUCKY AND MAYBE A FLUKE? REPLACEMT ARRIVED, LEFT GLOVE STILL MUCH SMALLER THAT RIGHT PLUS HAS ABOUT A 1/8 INCH HOLE IN TOP OF PALM, WITH WHITE LINING SHOWING AND LOOKED TERRIBLE, DECIDED TO THROW AWAY RATHER THAN RETURN FOR A CREDIT, DIDN'T WANT TO GO THRU THE HASSLE OF REQUESTING A RETURN, PRINTING A LABEL AND RUNNING AGAIN TUOUPS, MY TIME IS WORTH MORE THAN 11.95, OBVIOUSLTY MANUFACTURED HAS A MAJOR QUALITY ISSUE AND ALTHOUGH PRICE IS VERY ATTRACTIVE THE QUALITY ID BAD, PERIOD!

Good gloves at a good price point, but with workmanship issues...If you have large hands, get the extra large--they run small.My example has a defect where the thumb and palm meet, wherea hole formed due to faulty production line work (see picture).Look out for this same flaw upon receipt.The defect I mention affected only one of the gloves in the pair.The picture was taken just minutes after delivery.

Ordered before reading any reviews. After reading the reviews I was wondering exactly what I was going to get. There were a lot of comments about the fit being tight or too small for the size that the gloves should have been. There were also comments about the weave of the wool exterior being loose. I checked out the gloves very closely before I ever removed any tags and tried both of them on. These gloves fit great and after wearing them for two days while it's been windy and the wind chill has been 6 to 10 degrees I can say that they fit great and are very warm. I did find one spot where I can see through the weave but it is minute and I can't see it being a problem,but that is why I gave it four stars. They are almost an O.D. green just like the picture. So, to sum it up I got exactly what I ordered, they fit like they should, they are the color shown and I think they are worth the price. Also they are very warm.

They are extremely warm and comfortable. Also if you get mittens or choppers depending where in the world your from, they would be good for probably -30 degrees Fahrenheit. I live in a cold climate most of the year with temperatures as low as -45 degrees. They are a great purchase.

OK, not perfect but I'm still giving 5 stars because I had read the reviews and I knew about a manufacturing problem of where the thumb connects with the rest of the glove. A weak spot. BUT I'm sure I can give it 2 or 3 stitches to strengthen them.The main thing is they are just what I was looking for, extremely warm & comfortable without being stiff. They are so soft. Like a sleeping bag for your hand.I had ordered a different brand that was supposed to be for extreme cold. I wore them one time in cool weather and could feel the wind blow through them. It didn't take me long to send them back.........

These are actually a really nice pair of gloves. I want to give it 5 stars, but I couldn't due to fitment issues. The quality is top notch and the internal lining is a detailed luxury that makes the gloves feel premium. I have extra long fingers and even the XL size of these gloves do not accommodate my freakishly long fingers. The overall fit was fine though. Gotta love Amazon for free returns, just keep buying larger sizes until you find one that fits perfectly.

Area .... thumb to palm, didn't look like it would last long ( stitching ? pulled) Thumb short on one glove,also caused it to pull more at stitching area.Was leery , of lasting long. sent back

Warm but not as warm as the last pair of wool gloves I purchased. I would buy them again for sure though, the polyester lining is a nice touch to keep the wool feeling off your hands. No issues with fraying over this last winter and decently light so they can be used for camping and hiking.

I initially bought these for my daughter's grandfather because he gets very cold hands in the winter and loves 'wool' items. His hands fit in XL gloves. However, these being doubled make the XL fit smaller, really probably fits a medium hand, so they were too tight--not much stretch to them. My husband wears them instead and says they are warm. Don't buy if your glove size is XL, actual fit is smaller, but still a nice product

I had them for a couple of months now, no problems expect its a little small. I've used them in - 20 and it kept me warm enough from point A to B. The colour is lighter than the shown but not a deal breaker

All good. A perfect fit and comfort. Warm too.

XL Glove fits my large size hands well. Make sure you order a size up. I drive a forklift in a -40 degree freezer, they hold up well.
