Decent protection
I was looking for a 3 knee model because I was taking too many shots just above my knee. I am 6'1 and got 17" model...I should have gone for the 18.5 as they barely cover the area above my kneeThe plastic on these is thin; I wouldn't want to wear them for college games or flame throwing high schoolers, I'm not sure how it would feel

No protection
I was on the injured list for 3 weeks after getting hit in left shin guard! These are only going to protect against 9-10 year olds. I was umpiring 15 yr old baseball when I went down. Do yourself a service and pay more money for a better product.

Best value for money
Great shin pads! I am six feet tall, 187 pounds and these fit like a glove. Ump everywhere from u13 to senior. Good protection and easy to adjust. They also seem to wick away sweat which is a nice perk. Highly recommend.
