I bought this to help me find where on the couch my cat peed. It didn't work very w'll and I assumed it was because the pee was dry. However, tonight I caught my cat in the act and immediately tried the light with no luck. To be sure I wasn't crazy, I took it to the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen and tried it on a variety of surfaces. It barely worked on even easy to see surfaces light the toilet and bathroom floor. I just don't think it's got the right wavelength to do the job intended. After reading up, I've learned I should have gotten one with a wavelength between 380 and 395 in order to beat see urine and since this listing doesn't give its wavelength I'm assuming it's not in that range.

We had to move our cat's litter box because of a kitchen renovation and she is doing her business elsewhere. I bought this light to try to identify where the stains were and it found none. I finally discovered where she has been going (found a smelly, wet spot) and the light shows nothing! I will save for Halloween but buy something else for finding pet stains. Very disappointing. Worst false advertising I've experienced on Amazon yet and I shop often.

I have 2.......the black is hard 2 see so I order gold.......I am not sure the light will detect anything.........we installed all new carpeting ...( not an easy task ) and I thought a black lite with battery would be better than my plug in..........I know one of the little dogs wet in the bedroom but the black lite does not show it...guess time will tell if this lite was worth buying or not

Works like a charm! Kinda gross to see all the pet messes that are on your carpet after you think it has been cleaned up. I do like being able to see where I need to deep clean tho.

Cheap. Misleading picture and implied number and color of product. Weak light (even with alkaline batteries)Could not discern a white sheet from a piece of coal?Mama said: You get what you pay for or less! This goes beyond that wit misleading and fictitious advertising.Not even a kids toy. 8-(

Purchased to find where my pets had their "accidents." Scary. Use it in your bathroom for an educational experience.

Great little gadget. I actually found out that my washer was leaking because this black light showed up where it was leaking. I had used bleach in it and the bleach is what showed up in the black light.

Does what it says, but it also illuminates anything white ... using common sense you can have a great idea where urine may be, verses normal white counter tops or floors.

Works exactly as advertised, I used it to legit check my yeezy creams and they were perfect
