Great Price AND Great Performance
I've taken this out several times for presentation before large audiences and it works just perfectly. The quality of materials and manufacturing seems to be up to par. It looks rather delicate to me so I handle it quite carefully, yet it seems to be durable enough for my usage. It puts out a great volume into my Sennheiser G2 transmitter, even to the point that I turned down the volume a bit on the receiver. The signal is quite clear with no distortion at the mic and the bandwith is surprisingly wide for such a tiny mic unit.Would I recommend this to others? Most definitely, YES! Great price and great performance.

Good headset for the price
Fits well and works fine. Nothing fancy about them. I like that they fit around both ears instead of just one. Works well for my 7th grade drama students. We use this on stage in our cafeteria. They work just as well as the clip-on mics.

Great for Preachers - Amazing Value
We ordered this mic along with another mic that cost twice as much. We were impressed by the quality of this microphone. It's incredibly stable on the head and puts out a really clean signal. For $45, the value is unbelievable. It's 10x better than a lapel mic and had a more complete sound range than expensive head-worn microphones. It's a keeper.

Great...but
After just a few uses, the sound quality developed a "raspiness" as if there was a loose connection or broken wire. I have been able to eliminate it by creating a "tension" loop and taping it to my Sennheiser wireless transmitter. It's functional but disappointing for a brand new microphone.Save for that, I would have given all 5-star reviews.

Best Earset mic around for the Budget
I bought two of these bad boys for my church. Our pastors have tried several different head/ear microphones and never really found one that they liked. Recently we purchased the Que Audio earset. WAY overpriced for what it is. Sounds great but build quality is...ehhhh.Enter the Microdot 4016. I am actually amazed at how great this mic sounds for the money. The build quality is very decent. So far we have not a single issue with this mic. I will update if anything changes.

SOUND QUALITY = TERRIBLE!
Don't buy! Mic quality is absolutely terrible! Go for the more expensive Rode headset. We thought these would be a good addition for our church. They are simply terrible. Mic quality is the problem. Headset itself is well made. Just need a better quality mic capsule.

small tweak and it worked perfect without distortion
Fixed! I like other reviewers plugged this in to replace a broken mic and it distorted with any loud speaking. I tried everything on the eq settings and volume and it just kept distorting. I then found the problem. My wireless pack gain was up to high. I turned my pack down and then uped the gain on my board. This completely solved the problem. I can preach as loud as I want. I have plenty of headroom on our pa still and no distortion on the mic. These sound great for the money, they sound way more expensive. I have a $300 mic and I tore the cable getting it caught so this one you just get a new $12 cable and your good. I'll keep a spare of these around!

I like it because now I only have to purchase a replacement connector, rather than the entire headset. the connectors on these headsets only last about two months. we really like the headset but the connector is very poor.
