The Cycling S&C kit is a total training solution for using a smartphone while cycling. It includes a Bluetooth 4.0 dual speed and cadence sensor that attaches to your frame and connects to your phone for monitoring and recording your performance in real time (distance, speed, time, route...). The Bike mount includes an all-weather durable pouch that comfortably protects and secures your smartphone (any model up to 5") onto handlebars in landscape or portrait mode. Simply put you phone in the pouch and slide it onto the mount

Ok cadence device but skip the included phone mount case
Included with the kit are the instructions, phone pouch, bike mounting hardware and bike sensors. The sensor itself uses a CR2032 battery (included) that according to the instructions will last at least a year, although the instructions don’t indicate if the device constantly drains the battery if inactive. Changing the battery is fairly easy as long as you are careful not to damage the seal inside. The Imaze device itself is a really cool idea but the little things affect somewhat my overall impression of it. For one, even though the Amazon page says it is for Apple and Android, the box says it is only for the Iphone 4S and 5. The instructions also seem to be tailored to Apple as well, so I wasn’t initially sure that it would work for my Android phone, especially when searching for the “Smartpulse” app (according to the instructions) and not finding it. It wasn’t until I searched on Imaze’s website that I found the correct name of the app to search for on Android was “Imaze fitness”. To even use the app, you have to register. Not a huge issue, but I would have preferred an app that lets me use it without forcing me to register first, especially to see if this is an app I want to use. Once registered, I set up the details including height, weight, age, and sex (This is minor, but I do wish they would get rid of the gender symbols and just use M/F). Initially when pairing with my phone, I could not find the device but hit scan again and I found the Imaze sensor. I did also tend to lose connection at times, although I am not sure if that is because of inactivity and it is an automatic shutoff or whether it is a signal issue, however it did work when there was activity. Once I got the app connected and setup though the app correctly monitored everything, including speed, RPM, cadence, calories, and location very well. In the first few days, I have not had any major glitches yet in terms of reading the bike sensors. Just make sure you change in the app to the biking option for this device. The app can also keep your biking history as well. Although I haven’t tried other apps, this Imaze device is supposed to be compatible with other biking cadence apps. I will use the Imaze app for the time being unless I find an app that I like better. Even with those little pairing hiccups, the app and the sensors work as they should but as I said earlier, it is the little things that affect the rating of this device. I am not crazy about the included mounting hardware for mounting the sensors on my bike. Mounting the sensors include using plastic cable straps instead of including a built in good quality strap that allows for easy removal in case you want to remove from your bike or move it to another bike. In this case you have to cut the plastic ties off and replace them. The plastic cable ties work fine and I can replace them but it gave me the overall impression of cheapness in mounting hardware, although I will say that the plastic cable ties do seem to be standard among the different brands of these devices in this price range. I also am not crazy about the phone handlebar pouch either which reminds me of those budget level waterproof plastic pouches. Again, this gave me the feeling of cheapness that really hurts the overall impression of the device. For the 10 dollar difference between the Imaze device with this pouch and the one without, I would suggest getting the Imaze device without this pouch and getting a better quality bike mount.Overall, the device itself is pretty cool and works as it should but the mounting hardware has a cheap feel to it with the plastic cable ties and the phone pouch is definitely not worth the 10 bucks more that this cost with it included.4 starsI was provided a sample for review and I do not promise a good rating in return, nor am I affiliated with this company or compensated in any way. I am just a regular Amazon customer who shops a lot on Amazon.
