Belham Living Richmond 51 in. Curved-Back Outdoor Wood 30-Gallon Storage Bench

I was looking for something to put at my front entryway that had storage for various items. I had been looking at the formed plastic storage benches, but they just came across looking cheap. I'm glad I kept looking because I love this bench!First, the bench came very quickly (less than a week) and was packaged very well...no damage at all. The hardware to put the bench together is high quality, not likely to bend, rust or loosen. The wood is absolutely beautiful! And the bench is actually very comfortable. I like that the storage area is vented as I keep the net and other items I use for my pond in there, and am able to place the items in the storage area wet without worrying about mold. The bench is heavy and I've received many compliments on it.I found a bench somewhat similar to this one, however, the wood was softer and not as visually attractive. The price was about $75 higher for the other bench, so I think this is a great deal. And it does look expensive. If I can find another place to put one, I'll definitely order another one!

I was looking for an attractive bench for the front porch at our beach house and this one is perfect. I wanted a place for our friends and family to be able to put their shoes on and also have a place to store their shoes when they take them off. The only thing I could find at the local hardware stores were cheap plastic benches. This one looks great, is incredibly solid (and heavy), and can store a lot of shoes. The only things I would change are: 1) the seat doesn't stay open by itself, so they have included a little cord that you have to loop around the corner of the backrest if you want it to keep it open. and 2) if you have small children, you need to be careful about pinched fingers if you accidentally drop the seat while holding it open. The construction if very heavy and solid, so kids (and adults) could really get hurt by this if not paying attention. However, the bench is so much nicer than anything else I could find at the store or online that I would definitely buy it again, even with these design flaws.

Nice and sturdy bench, however, the lid was assembled improperly (the wood is spaced unevenly) and resulted in it getting stuck while opening and scratching the side of the bench. We had to place the hinges on the top instead of inside to make it work. Otherwise, it looks and works great.

Good sturdy bench. Had no problem finding cushions to fit the size. Had a couple months now and a couple boards are losing their color. It does have a strong linseed oil smell which lasts for about three weeks. You will feel the oil on your hands too when on the arm rest. This does go away.

This is excellent value for the money, sturdy, attractive, and easy to assemble (presuming you have a helper/spotter). My only quibble was that the wood screws that hold the hinge could have been a bit beefier, but that's easily remedied should you feel you need to. Beyond that, I recommend it 99 44/100%!

Love this bench. Sturdy and well made, didn't take long to put together. All bad part was the protective wrap they put around the pieces to protect during shipping, it stuck to the wood and too several hours to get it off.

Absolutely beautiful. And the seat lid is heavy duty and should not bow or warp. An awesome product.
