A gift for my grandchildren. I opened it and it looked sturdy and interesting. May not compare with a video game, but I'm glad I gave it to them (ages 2-9) as they do a lot of traveling.

Update to review: The below info is still true, BUT this map is completely lacking Morocco and Tunisia (and perhaps more)!Exactly what I was looking for: an affordable and simple world map with vibrant colors that clearly show the boundaries between countries. This map immediately caught the eye of my kinder and preK aged kids, and has fun (but not distracting) illustrations around the countries that continue to draw them to look at the map. Other world maps have too much text, or the colors between countries are too similar, to make it easy for kids to see the different countries.It was a little smaller than I expected, but I didn’t really check the measurements and it has worked fine for us. It is pretty stiff, so it is made of fairly sturdy material. It came rolled up so it was a little challenging to keep unrolled and pin to the bulletin board.

I tried to get it to lay flat, no luck. When I rolled it the opposite way to help this, it bent and creased. Poor quality. I’m sure my granddaughter will have fun marking on it. It was to be a Christmas gift, but it isn’t good enough quality.

Thin and curled up, so that’s not nice, but it’s a cute little map—just understand that that’s all it is. Don’t be led astray by the word interactive, like we were. It has a couple geography questions and places where the student can write the countries they’ve been to and places they’d like to visit with the included dry erase marker. Not very “interactive,” but it would work well for a lesson in geography, as much as any other, cheaper map. It’s good quality and durable, but not worth the price.

This World Map is hanging in my classroom. It is kid friendly, durable, and accurate! It comes with a dry erase marker, but my class will only be using it for reference. We can't wait to locate places we are reading or learning about in our 2nd grade curriculum!
