Chinese Herbal Medicine: Materia Medica

I'm a TCM student and it's a compulsory text. It's expensive but it's the Daddy of all herb books and it would be impossible to practice without it. It's very well laid out, gives lots of information about all the herbs and it's simply a must have.

A beautiful book. Insightful and very useful for herbal medicine students.

This is a good start for those who want to learn more about Chinese herbal medicine. It gives the latin name and the Chinese name, so that it makes it easier to find. It has pictures, which makes it easier to identify if you don't know the name in latin and only in Chinese.

While the edition I purchased was not the most up-to-date available, I was very impressed with the contents of this book. It was recommeded to me by a practitioner of Eastern medicine as I am looking at beginning my own education in such in the fall. It contains detailed information on a very, very large variety of herbs and plants from an oriental medicine perspective. I've used it quite a few times already in my personal studies and look forward to applying the knowledge in practice.

Happy with the book and the condition it came in- slightly used as stated, minimal highlighting. Very happy with my purchase!
