Gorgeous longboard!
Let me start by saying that this is a truly beautiful and well made board. It's a lovely weight and size! Unfortunately, I personally had to return it since it turns out I have the balance of a new born lamb with all left hooves, but that's besides the point. I'm sure it'd be a fun ride for a more skilled skater :) I'll be looking for better beginner friendly boards from this brand!

Great Board for the Money
SImilar to Mark's review, I am an old skater that has never owned a longboard. I also bought mine both for walking my dog, and for teaching my kids to skate. I've been skating for over 30 years and have owned my fair share of skateboards. I was very surprised by the quality at this price point. The quality is better than a lot of complete boards I have paid $100 for.It came fully assembled and ready to ride. The board feels substantial, but isn't too heavy. The trucks and wheels are very good quality at this price point. The trucks were a little too loose for my taste right out of the box, so with a little tightening they were good to go. Not the best bearings I have ever ridden, but far from the worst. The wheels are really nice, much softer than I am used to riding on my old 80s boards! I was also surprised at the effectiveness of the gritted wood top as opposed to regular grip tape. All in all, this is a great board and I am very happy I purchased it!

Impressive for larger/heavier riders
Alright, so I just started riding skateboards with my 6 year old son. I bought a cheap drop longboard to learn with him. One misstep and I split the deck on that board.... Oops. I should have checked the weight limit.I'm 6' and about 250 lbs so I had a hard time finding an entry-level board that could support me that wasn't going to cost me >$100. The one thing I knew was that I wanted a longboard for going on trails. After finding a handful of replacement decks from my drop, I found this board on Amazon. It cost less than buying a new deck and grip tape, and it came with wheels, bearings, and trucks. So I decided to give it a try. It's a very nice looking board. I was nervous about the "clear grip" but it seems to be holding up well. It's kind of like sand in a clear gloss coating. The board doesn't seem to complain about my weight at all, so their max weight seems to be accurate. Not sure how long the grip will last, and it seems like the wheels might be wearing a bit already. They're pretty soft wheels, which makes them great for our rough street, but not great for longevity... The bearings are OK. Nothing like the Bones Reds I put on my kid's board, but good enough that I didn't feel the need to immediately replace them.I realize it's just the style of board, but my one complaint about this board is that it's really high. It leads to pretty quick leg fatigue, but I think with some practice my endurance will build. The length and height of the board make me think this wouldn't be a great board for shorter people. I did see someone on the trail the other day with a similar board. He was approximately my size though...Overall I've been very happy with this board, and feel like it has helped me to learn to longboard.

Nice for the price
The media could not be loaded. I've really been enjoying this board for cruising around the city on. A word of caution for newbies: I think what I REALLY wanted was actually a cruiser, not a longboard. I've been using my cruiser far more for zipping around town because it's lighter, easier to pick up and carry inside, and it accomplishes everything (for me at least) that a longboard can because I'm not good enough to bomb down giant hills. So, do your research. In terms of looks, man this thing is pretty. It's bigger than I expected it to be in person. The wheels are large enough to roll over all but the worst cracks in the pavement. You know those sidewalk cutouts with the orange bumps all over them? It rolls over them with ease. I've rolled over twigs in the road, you name it.The only cons are:- It's really high off the ground compared to many other boards. I tried an arbor board that my son's friend owns (with the inset trucks) and it instantly felt more stable (though keep in mind: it probably cost 3x what the Magneto costs).- It's heavy. I'm not sure about specifics, but the more expensive Arbor boards are for sure lighter.Overall, if you are looking for a longboard, you can't go wrong with this thing.

Beautiful wood that lasts
Durable gorgeous wood!Easy for adults and children to learn -- far better than skateboards.Unfortunately, the blue color in the wheels didn't last (see my middle board; the wheels are now an ugly greenish yellow)...but the red color did last. They have always carefully been stored indoors, out of the elements. The NEW purchase I am reviewing is the blue wheeled board set in the front.I'm hoping this 3rd longboard's wheels that are blue are going to last longer than the other blue-wheeled board I bought a couple of years ago. I wish there were a way to get new wheels since my kids and I use them frequently around the neighborhood.

Great Beginner Board
It was my first board and just got it to learn on and to see if I liked skating. Swapped the bearings right out of the box though. For the price it’s great. I did some downhill where I maxed out at 35 but wouldn’t advise it(quite a bit of wobble near the end). This isn’t a downhill board so I didn’t expect to be able to do that in the first place. If you go downhill tighten the trucks up a lot first. Usually I kept the trucks loose and it carved nicely and smoother than expected . It was a good board for me to find out what I liked skating-wise so I could buy a better board dedicated to that. Overall I recommend this for a beginner who wants to try skating. Would purchase again.
