Beautiful small sword, wish they made a full size version. I would also purchase it.
Sword arrived early and well packaged. I read all the gripes about size, how small it is. Description clearly states 17" blade, so... This is a beautiful small sword. I only wish they made a full size, I would buy that also. I intend to use it as a costume sword and as an archer's sword for Ren Faire. My sword is well made and solid, no wiggle or loose or misaligned. The sheath is a plastic material but really looks nice. It securely holds the sword. If you bump the sheath sometimes you can hear the sword hitting inside of sheath. I do not find this a problem. The leather (synthetic) wrap on the sheath has a small buckle so you can attach it to your belt. The wrap is small so rough treatment could break it. I ordered a frog similar to the one I use on my functional Rapier and combat sword. "BladesUSA PK-6182 Universal Leather Sword Frog 8-Inch Overall" It has not arrived yet so I used the wrap in the photos attached. UPDATE: received frog and find that it is a bit large for this scabbard and will hide the lacing on it. I will trim back the leather that wraps scabbard and punch new holes so that the scabbard lacing will still be visible through the frog lacing. If you do not want to modify the frog then I would not order it. The frog is well made and looks great just too big as is for this sheath. I consider this a display/costume sword. Using it to chop or simulated combat...it is NOT designed for that. It will not hold up under that type of use. Measurements: Overall in sheath 23 3/16" Blade 17" Blade width 7/8" Grip with pommel 5 1/8" Grip 3 3/4" Guard 4 7/8" This is a small sword, NOT a dagger. Most full size swords of this type are 30-44" overall. In order for you to make up your own mind about if this small sword will work for you I took some photos. I am 6-1 195 lbs for reference when looking at photos.

Nice sword!
I got this for my ten year old grandson because he didn't have a "real" sword. He will love this one. However, it is sharp and has very pointy tip. I expected it to be dull and with a blunt tip. But, it's absolutely beautiful and the quality is top notch.

Decent prop swords
We ordered a couple of these for stage props. I love the look of them (although they are a little on the small side). Their weight is also realistic. They make a great sound when they are unsheathed dramatically for a play, if such things are important to you. I did have a couple problems with the handles being loose - I had to return one because the handle was cracked and broken, so when a student unsheathed it the blade went flying. The other we were able to tighten before any issues arose. They aren't sharp, but they are a little pointy enough for me to discourage rough housing with them.

Perfect
Very nice! Looks and feels amazing. It even makes a very crisp “swish” when you swing it. 10/10

Nice Sword
Just received this decorative sword and I have to say it is nice. It is definitely a short sword and I also have to say that some of the reviews that call it a daqger are incorrect. This is much longer than a dagger. The brown parts of the picture are not accurate to what you receive. The brown is a much darker brown and I liked it. The sword fits very well in the scabbard and will not slide out. I held it upside down and the sword wasn't sliding out. You have to give a light tug to pull it free of the scabbard. The other neat thing that I did not expect is that the decoration on the pommel of the sword is the symbol of the Kingdom of Jerusalem during the Crusades. Neat touch! For the price, this is well worth it.

great quality.
DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOUR REALLY LOOKING FOR A BASTARD SWORD OR A HAND AND A HALF OR EVEN A FULL REGULAR SIZED SWORD!!!!! its a parry dagger...something that would be used with a full sized sword to knock away blows. its the size of a dagger. imagine being a full sized human man holding the famous eleven sword sting......its tiny. i could see a small girl at an medevil festival wearing this on her purple wizard belt....but thats it.....if your looking for a full sized Templar sword search KNIGHT OF TEMPLAR SWORD in the amazon search bar and buy that one. ok for a kid i guess...i mean to put on wall and not play with. great quality....just way way way to small

Even the metal parts look plastic.
I collect budget/low priced weapons. And this is the worst I have ever received, and by far not the least expensive. It should be called a scaled down replica, the grip barely fits an adult hand. The scabbard is all plastic, and looks plastic. The brown of the handle is plastic as well as is the gold center piece of the pommel. The hilt and pommel are metal, but they look plastic. It looks like a small toy sword, except the blade is stainless steel. It's weight feels good, but there is nothing I can see that would make it look like anything but a plastic toy. I read about the "cool" blade pattern caused by the machining of the blade, and all I can say is that person must have lucked out in getting all his swords machining marks to be consistent. My blade looks machined, and does not look like polishing will change that at all. I would recommend a plastic toy sword instead.
