I absolutely LOVE this little inexpensive salt grinder. I have a preference for coarse grain salts, because there's less processing that allows the salt's flavor to shine through. This grinder was a desperate stab with a limited budget to get something that would get me out of the mortar and into something quick and easy to put a little salt on my food.Let me start with how much it holds! I won't have to move to refill this for a good long while. I've had this for a couple months, and I can hardly tell it has been that long since I filled it. It holds a good amount where it does well.Second point - clear glass storage. I store my bulk whole spices in clear jars, and it looks nice. Having this grinder adds to that aesthetic and makes it easy to tell it's salt rather than pepper. No confusion here - we know exactly what we grabbed by sight.Third point - a manual adjustment to get the coarseness desired. I love that I can get either a traditional fine grind all the way to a more powder like grind that will dissolve faster or stick better to food. Definitely recommended for homemade fries, that love an extra fine sprinkling of salt.Fourth point - SPEED. This grinder produces salt for food as fast as a shaker. It won't take but a couple twists to get what you need from it.Fifth point - price! This is a fantastic product for the low cost offered. Definitely recommended. It's an attractive and effective salt grinder that will fit most budgets. You want this grinder.

Maybe the low price means it won't last years performing the way it does now, I don't know. I thought at first of buying a Peugeot or some kind of professional-level grinder to get a good result from it. I've been using the ones that come from the store already in a grinder, but the one I had works terribly, keeps getting stuck, produces irregular output, and is physically unpleasant to use.But so far, right out of the box (wash it first, there is a chemical smell) this thing is great! Grinds perfectly, and it's a satisfying sensation to use it. It's everything I hoped for. I'm using it for salt, by the way. At the moment, the pink salt from the Himalayas.I really like this thing a lot and it was very inexpensive. Despite the price, it's totally solid and I couldn't imagine a much better output or pleasant ease of use from a more expensive product. I suppose it's possible, but there is such a thing as diminishing returns, so paying ten times as much for an only slightly better product, assuming it is even better at all, seems pointless.I wish every purchase were this satisfying. I like mashed potatoes lately, it's kind of out of control, haven't eaten potatoes directly like this in decades, but I discovered they cook perfectly in the microwave and I'm making some almost every day. Lots of olive oil and some salt and they're great. This supplies the salt part in a very easy, pleasant-to-use way.

Just the right size, works fine, good price.

So far this is a superb grinder for the price. Ceramic material is much better for grinder burrs because they stay sharp longer and remain cool, especially compared to stainless steel. If the rest of the grinder is also durable, it's a great deal. Will report back over time!

The grinder is easy to use and works great. Able to control how fine or course the pepper is ground.

I purchased this pepper grinder to make my own cinnamon and sugar blend. I took cinnamon stick and pulsed them in a processor to tiny bits (not powder). Blended it with sugar crystals, purchased on Amazon. I poured into the pepper mill and made the blend I love on my cinnamon toast. I like more cinnamon, so it was good that I could adjust the blend to my taste. All that to say, stop buying the brand name, that you can't reuse. It helps on waste and it lasts forever. The grinder is solid and of good quality. Metal and glass. No label in the way, so you can clearly see what's inside, and easy to wipe down the glass. You can adjust the grind to allow your product to be to your liking. I am pleased with this grinder and purchased another for papaya seeds. They have digestive enzymes, and now, I can just sprinkle them over my food like pepper. This item has so many uses and looks nice on your counter or on a shelf.

Worked so good I went back and bought more as gifts

The design is nice and compact. However the plastic rim has very rough edges and it causes a problem when trying to use the grinder. I also don’t see a difference in the settings as far as the coarseness of the grind is concerned. I would not buy again, and will probably donate it when I get a replacement.
