Scaredy Dog Finally Got a Haircut
My wife I foster dogs so we have a lot of dogs coming in and out of our home. Mostly we foster small dogs and can convince them the electric clippers are not going to kill them. Last year we took in a Schnauzer/Scottie Terrier mix. He is a larger dog than we usually foster, very loving but super fast on the bite. And he bites for keeps. I have built a relationship with him that actually allowed me to pull a few thorns out of his foot one day and not die in the process. But when it comes to sounds... a loud clap, cough, eclectic clippers.... NOPE He is just not having it. I decided to try these clippers.I got him settled on the table and brushed him with the combs of the scaredy clippers. We have built a relationship where combing is acceptable. I started cutting and after a short amount of time, he settled and let me get all over his body. His face was another story. His face remains a little uneven and not as short as I wanted.... but I even got some of his face. I even bought some muzzles but I didnt need them for this project because he came to accept the clippers. I only one time snipped him because I wasnt using the comb guard to get in close on his belly. We had to start over on the trust. But he calmed quickly. I finally gave him a haircut and got his dreadlocks taken off. I was beginning to look like a neglectful dog parent. But there was no way electric clippers by anyone was going any where near him. Not without a heavy duty tranquillizer. These clippers are definitely worth the Money. My only wish would be that the clippers be interchangeable between right hand and left hand without having to buy a left hand set. I found a few areas were hard to reach or I needed to go in an opposite direction that how I was working to try and reach some difficult spots. So I only gave Maneuverability a 3 star rating. But over all I am very pleased with my order.

New to grooming and I love Scaredy Cut!
I'm no expert at grooming animals, so full disclosure right up front here. I received two Shi Tzu puppies for my birthday and since I am a hairdresser (former) I totally wanted to groom these babies. I know good shears and let me say these are not going to rock your socks off if you love awesome Japanese shears or want to impress anyone with your grooming tools - BUT - for what they do they are GREAT!The little trimmers give you some confidence around the face because they are small and the tips are rounded ball tips. Sweet! Not the sharpest shears you will ever work with, but they cut the hair. For a novice they are the perfect beginner tool. The larger shear with the clipper guard are great for clipping around the privates without nipping anything...er...well...sensitive :-) Hairy dogs like mine can collect a little bit of... what shall I call it here - oh yea poopy pieces on their little rear ends, so clipping it a little shorter has really helped. The clipper guard makes that job fast and the dog doesn't even mind at all. Comb and clip all at once. Perfect. The set I received were a bit tight so I had to loosen the screw so they would have a smooth movement when cutting and that was easy to do. Actually the screw is a nice feature because everyone has their own notion of how a shear should feel when cutting.I like a loose and smooth movement of the blades when cutting.I say give them a try and see if you like them. If you just need to trim a bit here and there between beauty shop trips they are perfect low cost tools. If you are experienced at grooming you probably won't need them, but you may want to have these tools in your back pocket for certain dog personalities. I would call this an occasional use tool set for a pro groomer.Overall a good product I can recommend.

Quality product
I received my clippers the next day . My Westie is 16 years old and he has a lot of growths , sensitive areas and weakness. Groomers cut him every time , can’t send him there. I can groom him but, my patience runs out with him. I used these clippers as soon as I got them and was very pleasantly surprised . This is a great idea and I can cut an area as I am petting him even when he sleeps ( which is a lot ) . They are silent. The one thing I don’t like is switching the comb. The blade is sharp and the comb is somewhat hard to put on and I cut myself. I wish it had a blade protector but , I really like this. I am right handed but, I think I will order a left one as well to work different sides. Thanks , Quality product.

Scissors with the guard don’t cut hair
The scissors with the guard do not cut hair, they are not sharp. I would like a replacement scissor so I can use the kit. The company contacted me and sent a replacement pair of scissors that cut the hair. The zipper also broke on the bag and they sent me a replacement back. Great customer service!

Works - scissors are the best part
I’m fostering an old kitty that came to me very matted and afraid of everything. This seemed more humane than trying to use electric clippers. It works but Honestly the best part was the snub nosed scissors. (Which are sold separately.) I just worked all her matts for five or so minutes each day. I’d cut off the upper 1/3 or 1/2 of the matt. Eventually they all came out. Especially help for the matts around her toes. While you still need to be careful, it’s way harder to hurt the animal with these scissors than pointy ones. The clippers work too but ended up be unnecessary for my foster.

Good product idea for the price.
I stopped having my 15-year-old dog groomed because it was too tiring for him. This grooming kit has pros & cons. The scissors (tiny trim & clippers) are very sharp. I can trim around my dog's face, ears & feet using the tiny scissors. However, I found the clippers awkward to use. Maybe because my dog is a poodle mix w/curls, so he has a thick coat. He tires easily, so I trim him often for about 10 minutes at a time & find that just using the scissors w/o the comb guide easier. It's a good idea & probably works for most, but it isn't as easy as the video shows.

Cut-less
These will NOT cut my puppies fine soft hair at all… I didn’t use them until after my return window so now I’m out $43 on a product I wouldn’t use 😖
