GM Genuine Parts 217-1588 (12587147) Fuel Injector O-Ring Kit with Assorted O-Rings

Installed these on a 2002 Chevy Silverado when changing out intake manifold gasket. replacing these seals added an extra 20-30 minutes to whole project but I'm glad I did it. You won't notice any improvement in performance per se, but more piece of mind for me. Used a small pick to take the old ones off and slide these into place using just my fingers to ensure I didn't nick the seals. They fit just like the originals. I have put about 10K miles on the truck since replacement and have worked well. Truck runs much better, but that has more to do with replacing the intake gasket and cleaning the injectors. Note: If your trucks idles rough in colder weather until warm, the intake gasket needs to be replaced. Colder air is more dense, which amplifies the unrestricted air flow impact.

I rebuilt most of my engine for longevity while doing some performance upgrades at the same time. I purchased these O Rings to ensure my fuel injectors in the aftermarket Chinese fuel rails would not leak. Well, the fool that I took the car to, installed these Fuel Injector Clinic #58 pound Fuel Injectors which needed some sort of goofy wire harness connector to convert the 2 blade F-Body style injector harness connector to the Fuel Injector Clinic style connector, by doing this, the fuel injectors ended up cocking to one side on a 15-20% angle which made massive fuel leaks on all 8 injectors. These would NOT resolve the fuel leaks, so I installed them on the stock #28 pound injectors from General Motors, and they sealed up perfectly. These I was told are a slight bit fatter than the stock ones from AC Delco/GM. So I used some wheel bearing grease on the O Rings and installed them in a circular motion and the top 2 O Rings sealed and seated perfectly. The same method was used to install them in the intake manifold, little bit of grease to prevent them from getting snagged and are able to slide right into the intake manifold ports, and they sealed perfectly. I clocked all 8 injectors to point out the same direction so the wiring harnesses look good, and are as clean looking as an LS engine can get. Let me be clear, these did not seal on the aftermarket stupid Injectors because they were cocked at such an extreme angle nothing would have sealed them. These sealed the stock injectors perfectly and would have sealed the aftermarket injectors if the wiring harness conversion connectors were not used. That connector add on is what hit the fuel rails pushing the fuel rails outward about 3/4 of an inch over straight up and there was no way to seal them. I tried the U / H shaped fuel rail connector hold downs and that would not work either. The connector adapter was the issue so with stock injectors or injectors that do not need a wiring connector adapter these will seal in stock and aftermarket and Chinese fuel rails (the big extruded aluminum fuel rails you get with any sheet metal intakes for an LS engine from anywhere and the same fuel rails on all Holley sniper LS intakes these will seal up as well. For good measure, I used 2 O Rings on the top of the injectors and the single one at the bottom. Fuel rails carry 60 +/- PSI and these seal with no leaks anywhere. Very happy with these and the price was really good in comparison with some other more expensive ones. I do my best in most cases to stick with AC Delco/Genuine GM parts. You usually get the most time out of stock AC Delco, GM parts vs. aftermarket parts in a lot of cases. Hope this review helps you decide if you want to stick with AC Delco parts or aftermarket O Ring seals for your stock or aftermarket LS intakes. Good luck with your fuel/intake projects.

Correct diameter. And the # of o-rings was correct. No leaks.

Little rubber rounds shouldn't be this expensive. This is for a high-pressure fuel situation and they work very well with zero leaks. Lubed with a skosh of axle grease for the install and it worked the business.

Replaced the o-rings on injectors for a 02 Sierra 5.3 LM7. The lower o-rings in this kit seemed to be just a hair larger, and not fit as tightly, but they do not leak or have any issues, so maybe I am just over-analyzing it.
