GebhardtChili Powder, 3 Ounce (Pack of 3)

My family is from Mexico (my parents were both born there) and we all grew up in America, but we still love Mexican food. This chili powder has an authentic flavor that can't be matched by any other grocery store brand. If we cook enchiladas from scratch, using homemade corn tortillas and homemade sauce, we HAVE TO use Gebhardt brand child powder because otherwise the enchiladas end up tasting strange!!! Fyi, if you like the flavor of this child powder, I recommend Pico Pica hot salsa which tastes very similar but can be used for tacos and migas, etc.

It's Gebhardts! Need I say more? Best chili powder ever and you can't get it in my neck of the woods by golly!!

I grew up having my mom use this powder for her enchilada sauce. She taught me how to make it and I was running low on my supply but I couldn’t find it in stores here. I ordered a few to last me awhile.

This is a family favorite. Rarely is stocked in our local grocery stores. We were all excited to find it on AMAZON.

I have been using this for 40 years

Gearhart chili powder is a mess when I make my tamales and enchiladas. They do not carry it in very many stores anymore. It is fabulous to be able to just go on Amazon and find this great product. It has so much flavor. Over 50 years ago my mother-in-law taught me how to make tamales and she said you always have to have a couple of bottles of this when you make a gravy for the tamales. I am known for making outstanding tamales.

I grew up with this always being in the kitchen, and used it for many things, especially enchiladas, and tamales. Other chili powders simply don't compare, because of how finely milled the Gebhardt Chili Powder is. It also has the best flavor! It was the only chili powder my grandmothers used, the only one my mother uses, and the only I will ever use. My local grocer has a hard time getting in store, so I'm happy to see that I can get it in bulk here on Amazon!😋
