We used this fabric dye to dye a homecoming dress that was a polyester blend. It worked perfectly! My daughter could not find the homecoming dress she wanted in purple, but they had it in ivory. We dyed the dress, checking it every 10-15 minutes. I was afraid it would come out muddy, because of the ivory base, but we were able to achieve the perfect shade of lilac!

This was super easy to use and the color turned out nice but it just was not as deep purple as I expected. Maybe I needed to leave it in a lot longer but it was in there for nearly an hour...

This product did an excellent job dyeing a dress I was working on. The only problem is I got it on my oven and I'm having an incredibly difficult time getting it out.

Long review! So, even though the website says no guaranteed that Rit will work on bleached clothes, I already bleached some clothes and used it… for half a bottle of the Royal Purple, I got a T-shirt done, a pillow case, and a jacket. Going to use the second half and expect to get a T-shirt done, light wash jeans, and a second pillowcase. You can get a wide range of colors… I did the T-shirt first, and it came out really dark purple. Then I used the same water and dyed my white jacket, and it came out lavender. Then I dyed my pillowcase, and it came out a light lavender. If you use the same dye bath for multiple items, just know it’ll progressively get lighter like that.. more like, super dark, and then medium light, light. Do a ten min test patch if you want. Uses a lot of water (they say 3 gallons) and is time consuming.. two hours for three items, with stirring every five mins. Package has instructions, or you can google the Rit website. Makes me much happier, seeing my clothes in a color I like. I’m not a fan of white clothing. Now my closet has more stuff I magically like. Good luck!

I used one bottle to dye a 100% polyester mixed stretch mesh and chiffon dress from a color close to my skin tone to a medium purple. It was probably 2 pounds of fabric. I would have loved it a little more saturated, but I was only willing to fork over $5 for one bottle given this was my first time dyeing with polyester. What I did: I had prewashed the dress on a regular cycle. I used 1 bottle of royal purple dye in six cups of water (which left minimal room for the dress to move around) with a squirt of dish soap. I boiled it outdoors on my Instant Pot for about 2 hours. Rinsed it about 4 times outside until the water ran clear, then washed it in the washing machine with white towels with no dye bleed. Dress is still a little damp in the photo, but it dried to show completely even color. I’m happy!

Worked great on my polymer pistol grips! Dyed for 30 minutes and used 3/4 of the bottle for a super dark Plum color. It turned out perfect!

Le produit est conforme, cependant j’ai eu 28€ de frais de douanes alors que j’ai acheter sur Amazon Belgique et que j’habite en Belgique j’ai trouvé ça vraiment inconcevable. Merci à Amazon de m’avoir aider avec ce problème

Ottimo per colorare i sintetici o anche il colore naturale perchè è in grado di tingere anche i fili delle cuciture che spesso sono sintetici e non si tingono. Vi è mai capitato di tingere una t-shirt in lavatrice con la coloreria italiana e di ritrovarvi si con un ottimo risultato sul tessuto ma poi con i fili delle cuciture tutti bianchi.... Si usa solo a mano su pentola, mai in lavatrice, ma è pratico e divertente da usare. Attenzione alle dosi, tinge molto, più il tessuto è sintetico più il riusltato e scuro. Ci sono vari tutorial su internet. Tinge anche oggetti di plastica ovviamente su base bianca o chiara.

I found this vert easy to use and the colour came out just how I wanted it when dying white fabric. It still has plenty in it to use next time. Ince dyed the colour has appeared to not come off and stays very well.
