Use these in closet where I have motion sensors on the lights themselves instead of on a switch. Work great to keep from accidentally turning off light. Designed for old style toggles, not Decora.

Easy install

The right side is open to the insertion of a finger to simply use the switch. Our application was to remind us not to use a switch that controls a smart home hub. But if you need to change the switch, just use the side opening.VERY EASY to install, using the screws already on the switch cover.As far as value for the money, they're as basic of a piece of plastic as you can imagine. If the two cost the seller 25 cents, I'd be surprised. Together they should cost $2.50 tops. BUT they do the job simply and elegantly, so I'm not disappointed. But again -- NOT CHILD PROOF.

There are four lockers in our Senior's Apartments that have trash bins in them for the residents to utilize when discarding their trash each week. As with any trash collection area good lighting and powered ventilation fans are very important!!! The single toggle switch outside each LOCKER controls the power to the overhead lights and the exhaust fan. It is crucial that the switch remains ON 24/7/365 to ensure those small rooms are constantly being vented to the outside. By placing this switch cover over the toggle switch it would require extra STUBBORN EFFORT to shut off the lights and exhaust fan, so this switch cover helps send the message to NOT turn off the power ! ! ! 😃👍👀🙄🙏🤎❤️‍🔥💭

This little attachment is AWESOME! We set up a ring camera floodlight which is attached to a switch. We didn't want the switch getting flipped and constantly turning it ON/OFF. Discrete design and blends right in with a white faceplate.

One of the (two) covers helps me keep an attic light "off", the other a night-light "on" in another part of the house. This won't stop a child from toggling the switch with their little fingers, but it will slow them down. The cover is sturdy enough to stop them from using a broom handle or a thrown object to toggle the switch, a behavior afflicting childish adults as well as toddlers.These covers are "white-white" - the fixtures I installed them on are a yellowish "Ivory". The color difference reminds me to think about what the switches underneath them are for. Color mavens will say "those whites CLASH." These curved covers can hold a labelling tape on top.These covers fit normal, vertically-mounted switches in a single gang or double gang configuration, but not a "sideways switch pair in a single gang" configuration. For that situation, i use a hinged outer cover.These covers are thin, and countersunk with a cone-shaped hole, like the wall plate beneath. Before I installed them, I worried that the original screws might be too short, but (at least for me) the half-inch 6-32 screws on the fixture were plenty long enough to secure both the original cover plate and this extra switch toggle cover.Before /you/ order, check the length of the screws on the fixture you plan to use, and make sure that (1) you can turn them, and (2) there is at least a tenth of an inch "extra" length to hold this add-on cover.You can also buy longer screws if needed; Amazon sells a 100 pcs 4 length assortment of wall plate screws for six bucks (2023 January), and the Adamax APS9 300 screw assortment for $9.10 includes white, ivory, and light-almond colored screws for clash-avoidant esthetes.Be prepared to Do the Right Thing. I prefer that Jeff Bezos spends your money on raises and rockets, rather than refunds for the unprepared.

This product blocks switch and prevents accidental turn off. Well designed and easy to install.

These fit perfectly over my lightswitch and were easy to install. If I could change one thing, it would be getting these in off-white to exactly match the switch panels.

The fit is perfect but too expensive for a piece of light weigh plastic. Works perfectly though for my Ring Floodlight ensuring I don’t switch it off in error. If required, it can be switched off by sliding finger from the side
