Easy to install but you need to refer to Ring support site for some finer details.
It's easy to install. I wish the instructions supplied are bit more detailed. Manufacturer supplied a diode and don't tell you what to do with it. Also, people talk about putting a resistor in line to limit the current but the instructions supplied with the power supply don't tell you anything abut limiting the current. Ring support page says the following:1. You don't need a diode for Ring Doorbell2 (2nd generation)2. You don't need a current limiting resistor for Ring Doorbell2 (2nd generation).For Ring Doorbell 1st generation, you need to to attach the diode between the terminals on the Ring Doorbell (if you are also connecting your digital doorbell) and also install a current limiting resistor in line to one of the wires from the AC power supply.I just have a Ring Doorbell 2 and as such the hardwire installation is very straight forward. Connected the two wires, one each to Ring Doorbell 2's terminals. That's it. I am yet to see the battery charge up fully. It is at 95% now and I read it trickle charges to the full level slowly. Before you hardwire, I recommend to charge the battery fully.

This is a must have if you have a ring doorbell!
I have had this power adapter for a while now I have never had a problem with it. This keeps my ring doorbell charged all the time and I do not have to swap out batteries. I also don't have to or worry about it going dead and gives me peace of mind that it will always be recording. I would definitely recommend.

Little shorter but that was my fault, pay attention to length of cord you need. Does exactly what it was intended for

DOES NOT WORK
Does not work at all. Provides zero power to ring either of our ring doorbells. I tried it on both. DON’T BUY.
