Your Lie in April is an amazing story about two people with a love for music. A traumatized piano player and a sick violinist. I had low expectations for this anime/manga and expected to be bored. Wrong. It is my favorite anime and favorite manga. It is heartbreaking but in such a good way I canât describe it. I can go on for hours about it but I wonât bore you. When Kaori passed away I was in tears. I love this damn anime/manga so much itâs unhealthy. Its a masterpiece. KĆsei Arima is a pianist. An ex pianist at that. He has not played a piano in years because he was traumatized. He endured physical and emotional trauma from his own mother. He was friends with a brunette who loved baseball, Tsubaki, and a brunette who loved cheating on girls, Watari. Tsubaki introduced him to Kaori Miyazono, a violinist. They hit it off immediately. Shortly after they became good friends. Kaori dragged him on stage to preform with her and he did it. He managed to overcome the darkness. And then boom. Kaori fell. After that she started staying in the hospital, she was sick. KĆsei keeps visiting her until one night when he and Watari catch her going into cardiac arrest. He was not allowed in her room so he left, and saw her again later when she was better. She decided to undergo surgery and had passed during her surgery but had left KĆsei a letter. She told a lie. She said she liked Watari when she liked KĆsei. Overall a masterpiece. Review: A beautiful, heartbreaking, amazing series! - Your Lie in April is a gem of a series, and was my first foray into sad slice of life manga/anime. It was so memorable and heartfelt, that even after I finished my journey with the two protagonists, their sad, melancholy, amazing, story still echoes in my soul. I also really enjoyed that the story revolved around classical music and performing. It's a deeply original idea that nicely develops the plot. In regard to the pace, I thought it was done perfectly, but again, this isn't a shounen action series, so the story may progress too slowly for some people. It's truly an amazing series, but fair warning, there are several important scenes of character development that some people may be very disturbed by. These scenes didn't negatively affect my enjoyment, but on the same token, this isn't a series you should allow a young child to read. Just putting that out there. Ultimately, I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys sad fiction, or stories where music is the driving force. I personally loved it very much. Also, when approaching the conclusion, BE PREPARED TO START SOBBING!

A life changing story
This is one of the few manga series that have the potential to impact you heavily. It tells a rich story with remarkably well developed characters. It uses music to tell of making amends with your past and walking forward to your future. It changed my life. And I will never forget it.

so cute!
I really enjoyed this one because itâs so emotional and beautiful. Itâs definitely got itâs character like most manga, but itâs raw. â€ïž

6 stars
Amazing story 6 stars if I could, i absolutely loved it and wish there was more. excellent artwork even the music is expressed very well, which was a bit of a concern at first, but there are no gaps left between the art and the music and the emotion behind it.

Having already read the original Japanese version, I was very eager to read the English-translated version of this. Your Lie In April (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso) is a brilliant story of young love, overcoming your past and forging ahead. In Arima Kousei's case, he gets quite the push from the other main character of the manga, Kaori Miyazono. As a 28 year old male, I'm not afraid to say that reading this brought tears to my eyes several times. I'm not one for reviews usually since I'm awful at writing them but this really deserves as many people reading it as possible. Even then, if you're not a manga reader, or you just want to hear the beautiful music of the manga, there is an anime adaptation that is now complete. The anime adapts the manga very faithfully and covers the entirety of the manga, covering the whole thing. While I adored the manga, the anime may be somewhat better as it brings the characters to life with animation, voices and the music. So even if you don't buy this, please try the anime. You'll not regret it.

Assisti o anime e chorei igual criança, entĂŁo estou me preparando para a mesma coisa acontecer no mangĂĄ. EntĂŁo segue minha recomendação: prepare os lenços, porque vocĂȘ vai precisar.
