THIS TEAK IS CALLED A BATTEN IN THE BOATING INDUSTRY. This solid piece of teak wood has been cut at our world class Diamond Teak furniture facility. This is 100% heartwood and true teak with the scientific name tectona grandis. Beware of people trying to sell you woods like teak. We sell only kiln dried, first European quality (FEQ) grade teak. It can be used for for working on boats, making furniture, flooring, or working on cars or airplanes. This teak is very finely machined.
