my oil needs to be mixed at 5.2 oz per gallon. will this do that?

It has measurements from 2 to 17 ounces so yes it would measure close to what you need but does not have exact one tenth ounce marks. If you measured 15.5 ounces of oil and mixed with 3 gallons it would be within one tenth of one ounce accuracy.

It has 24:1, and there is another scale on the side that shows ounces/ milliliter so that you could just measure the amount of oil. It should work for you .
