Church/Bemis 683SLOW 006 Next Step Toilet Seat Color: (Bone)

I bought two of these kinds of training seats and the other model I purchased is way better, but it was in almond color not white so I couldn't use it for this particular toilet. The entire seat is quite heavy and will indeed slam down if you don't place it down gently (try teaching a toddler that). The magnet is quite strong, which made it difficult for my daughter to take down the small potty herself. She did manage to get used to it after a few days. The hinge is also quite loose, part of the reason why the seat slams down so heavy. But the convenience of this versus a potty training seat on top of the toilet still made it worth it to me. I just wish it was soft close.

The seat was advertised as being "bone" colored, I guess I didn't think of bone as being tan, especially since the photo is white, which is disappointing as it doesn't go with anything in my bathroom. The child seat is NOT slow close. And the seat is labeled as Bemise/Next Step, and not Bemise/Church brand as advertised, which is really disappointing, I really wanted the church brand seat, which seems imposible to find, even after I thought I found it it was just falsely advertised apparently.

My daughter-in-law purchased one for our grandson and he has adapted to it beautifully and that is why we ordered it for our home. It is perfect for the home and you don't have to make so many accomodations. We are very pleased with the product and our grandson was so thrilled when he saw it, because it was just like the one at home! It is easy for adults and children to use and thankfully is made of wood. I also appreciate that it is biscuit colored to match.We appreciate the timely delivery of the product!

Worked for about a week, the hinge doesn't lock and every time you lower the seat it pops up. and seat doesn't stay on.***After posting this review the people at Bemis got back to me and worked with me on getting a replacement. They were great in helping me resolve the issue. They sent me a new seat and it works perfect.

Great seat and product but after about a year the constant up and down of child seat has made the adult seat have a scratch... kinda bummed I really like this seat and product. BTW is used by a tiny 6 year old daughter that weighs no more then 40lbs...

This is the second toilet seat like this that we purchased. We now have two in use. Our son is 3yrs old and we got sooooo tired of emptying the potty chair. Now, with a step stool, he can use the large toilet on his own. We put one downstairs and one upstairs. I like that it looks tasteful, not tacky.

Ordering and shipping was first rate and grandson likes using the full size toilet, however, with respect to the seat itself, the hinged caps over the fasteners to the toilet itself do not stay closed and must be pushed back down each time the seat is closed. Disappointing for a well known company like Church/Bemis

Amazing - just what my granddaughter needed. Gone are the days of the separate toilet seat that never matches the bathroom decor !
