Excellent product—IF you can find it, & IF you can stomach the humongous price increases.
*Edited on March 24, 2025.*I'm editing this review because it has been 7 years since I posted the original review here, at least according to Amazon, and if you read the original review below, one thing you will notice is that the price of this product has substantially increased even more. Now, I teach Economics to high school seniors, and we have recently and in depth discussed and covered in great detail relevant topics like inflation, supply shortage, consumer demand, and other information that would be, greatly or insignificantly, causes for price increases. I'm not here trying to be anyone's teacher or trying to be condescending; rather, I'm intentionally exaggerating to emphasize one big question that neither I nor my students can answer, and that is: why the heck is the price for this product so dang high? Where it used to be, as my original review stated, around $7 or $8 for a 56-count tub of this, it went to around $15 to $17 per tub, also as explained in my review.Well, after seeing the even higher price of this item, I'm editing my review again on 3/24/2025 to update the price so that my review is at least accurate. With tax, this tub of Snuggles Scent Boosters runs for basically $25. That's a staggering 213% price increase! Why?________________________Original review:I've used these for years, this scent specifically. Lavender & Vanilla has for years been one of the most popular non-seasonal scents in the market place. Because of this, these specific scent pods were always readily available in stores, and the price averaged around $7 for the tub of 56, give or take. For quite some time I had these on Subscribe & Save, which further reduced the cost to something just north of $6. For whatever the reason, over a year ago Amazon removed these from the Subscribe & Save program and wouldn't even sell them directly anymore, instead having them available only through approved sellers. That coincided with a massive price hike. The price of this 56-pack container literally doubled, sometimes being MORE than twice the price. It has since remained off the aforementioned Subscribe & Save program and has more or less been around $15 to $17 per tub. Is that high? Yes, way too much, IMHO, but one can say that about a lot of things the last few years. If you swear by these things, like I do and many here do, then they're worth it; otherwise, you're better off going for a different scent. Ahhhh, but that's what sets this specific scent apart from the other 1 or 2 scents in which this product is offered. This Lavender & Vanilla Orchid scent is by far the best. It's not overly or excessively pungent, but is still strong enough to leave your clothes, towels, and more with a nice, pleasurable, aromatic feel to them.Another reason I prefer this particular scent is because my liquid fabric softener is Downy Lavender & Vanilla, so the two scents go together instead of being different scents that end up smelling like something grown in a lab. Yes, it may be a bit unusual to use both a liquid fabric softener AND a scent pod; however, I have found that using these 2 together actually provides for a better result with my clothes and other items, especially my towels. There is a noticeable, pleasant scent instead of one of those typical scents that you'd need a dog's nose to detect. I've had several people over the years who have all made compliments to me over this. One related fact is that lavender and vanilla as a combined scent is one of the most popular such scent options in the market place. Air freshener sprays, scented oil plug-ins, aromatic wax candles, and more such items all come in various scents, with lavender & vanilla being one of the most popular options within each of these products' individual items. Because I use fabric softener, aerosol spray, and Air Wick plug-ins of the same scent, I wanted to do the same with my laundry. I know I wasn't alone in this item's and this scent's perceived popularity, because the aforementioned items in this scent were always the ones in the shortest supply. So why then was this particular item discontinued in stores? I couldn't find this specific product anywhere among retail stores. It was available only on the Internet, and in very few places, too—Amazon being one of them, thankfully.

Great water freshener for your laundry
This stuff is awesome. We have well water and it has a little bit of a funny smell to it, but this makes everything come out of the washer smelling fresh, not overly powerful smell
