a keeper
off duty, a good nude, do not need much, looks like lipstick not gloss, it does smell like castor oil but I dont mind that as I use castor oil a lot. can easily manage to avoid smearing drinking glasses, stays on enough, only need a little bit for reapplications. Its a keeper

Smells bad and color is odd
I like their balms so thought I'd try the liquid lipstick in the color Off Duty. First thing, the color does not lean pink like it does in the picture. It leans more peach. I could get passed that with a lip liner or top gloss. What I can't get over is the smell. It's horrible. It smells old, musty, moldy. I can't explain but it just stinks. Earthy smell even. It's not worth the money to return so not taking the time. I still really enjoy their balms and cream blush but this is a no go for me.

Passion color is gorgeous on medium olive skin
I’m new to lipstick generally. Never been my thing. Couldn’t bare spending full price on the honest website knowing how I’ve always struggled with lip colors. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Passion was by far my favorite color. Gorgeous dusty rose with a slight orangey undertone. I’m tan with a neutral/warm undertone so it works for me. It’s still a bit of color for me but could be worn day or night. Fearless is a very pretty dark berry or plum color but I wouldn’t wear it unless I was going out and dressed for the occasion. Forever is a pretty lighter mauve, with a clear purple undertone. It is very close to my natural lip color, so much so that it’s almost pointless to wear for me but still pretty and I’ll wear it occasionally I’m sure. It would be nicer on someone with less tan skin. Off duty was too light for my skin and lips. I’m not into bright pinks and that’s how it appears on me. I look like a 12 year old with pink bubble gum color lips. However, it’s a gorgeous color on its own and would nice on other skin shades, especially lighter ones. Also, it is nice blended into the darker shades I described above to give depth to the lip color. Overall, I’m happy with all of them. They are a bit sticky on the lips but have better longevity than the Honest lip crayons, which I love actually but they simply don’t last. Overall, recommend. I only do cleaner beauty brands and so far, although I’m just getting more into makeup now at almost 40, I have loved everything from Honest.

Smells like castor oil / Isn't very hydrating
The color is nice. It stays on for about 2-4 hours if I don't drink or eat. The only thing I don't like is that it smells like castor oil (since it's one of the ingredients) but also it isn't very hydrating for the lips which is a bit strange since it's oil-based. It's very matt and dry. I would recommend applying a layer of gloss or colorless lip balm on top

Great, but Requires Additional Steps (Easy)
2ND UPDATE: Clearly I like this lipstick enough to buy it 3 times. “Passion” is the perfect rose neutral shade. GREAT TIP: for those used to a more traditional liquid lipstick formulation: apply, blot your lips with tissue gently, and set with a talc-free translucent powder and fluffy makeup brush (I use Covergirl Clean) and this lipstick will feel just as light and last just as long (even though food and drink) as what you’re used to.UPDATE: I purchased the shade “Love” even though I didn’t love “Happiness” as it’s quite challenging to find nontoxic liquid lipsticks - I’m glad I did because the formula looks great in this cool, deep red (not *too* bright like “Happiness”). If you prefer a more matte, long lasting finish, just press some translucent powder onto your lips with a dense brush after application and you’re set!PREVIOUS REVIEW:I bought this lipstick in the shade “Happiness” because in some review photos it seemed more neutral, however this is a very bright, cool pink - it looks more like a regular lipstick than a liquid lipstick when applied, and I do agree with some of the comments saying it smells like waxy play makeup. I think it could look nice with a deeper lip liner, however I can’t wear this lipstick on its own. HOWEVER, this wears nicely as a liquid blush and I’m so glad Honest is providing clean options - if I find a clean liquid lipstick I like better, I will try to update this review.

Beautiful color, good staying power
I got this in Forever. I love the color. It’s a beautiful mid-tone, cool pink. Cool pink lip colors are not easy to find right now. So many pinks just go orange or muddyq on me. This one doesn’t. It looks like the color on the model in the picture. Don’t go by the arm swatches. It’s fairly matte. Not drying but not moisturizing. I can tell I have it on, but it doesn’t feel sticky. I use a clear balm over it if I want more moisture or a glossier finish. Good last. I didn’t experience much of any scent or taste, which is fine with me. I’m very happy to find a pink that works for me. Really pretty.

Barely has tint
Feels nice and love the product line but has almost zero tint… not what I thought I was buying. (Bought 2 colours. Same issue with both)

Bordeaux lip stick and London gloss
Since this lipstick and lip gloss is almost 100% natural and safe, it does lack the texture and longevity of many of the lipsticks and lip glosses that I have been used to. I went to the Instagram account for Charlotte. Cook cosmetics to see the colors on skin tones. The swatches provided here are not at all like the colors in real life. I purchased Bordeaux which is warmer than it appeared on the CCC Instagram photos as well as the color chart here. The lipstick is opaque and covers thoroughly, but tends to evaporate and soak into the lips and leaves a substantial stain of color thereafter. I purchased the lip gloss in London, which did look like the swatch on the CCC Instagram account. It’s very hard to find nontoxic lip glosses that have shimmer. This is a very shimmery lavender lip gloss, but like the lipstick does not have that lip gloss slick feeling. It’s not Matte, but it just sort of absorbs into your lips, but still leaves a slight shimmery lavender tone. I am on the fence about purchasing Other colors. I do love that this is the cleanest lip stick and lip gloss product along side, Honest Beauty and maybe a handful of other brands.
