Nice!
These are great for my day old Silkies. They look like they will last a few weeks before I upgrade the size. They are easy to put on and have a good stretch. They will fit any type of young chick for probably the first month of life. I like the colors because I have multiple varieties of chicks hatching out over the next few months and this will help me keep track of them.*If this review helped you please let me know and hit the Helpful button. Great product
I'm new to this whole banding chick thing and have just started banding yesterday. Love the different colors so I can tell the sex, breeds, which coop they are going in and whether or not im keeping or selling, or whatever you want to use the different colors for. Easy to put on and take off, the colors are vibrant, love there are options to buy different sizes. Only wish there was blue in the mix. I do recommend to others as a cheap and easy way to band.

More than 100, colors not evenly distributed
These size 3 bands are working very well as I separate my quail. They are easy to stretch between the fingers of one hand while I hold the quail with the other. I can easily slip the band over the foot without injury to either of us. Lol I realized after I was well into banding that I should have been counting my roos. I figured I could just do the math later as I assumed there would be 25 of each color in a pack of 100 so figuring how many red I used on roos would be easy. Wrong. I counted 37 green, 49 orange, 44 purple, and 32 unused red. There were well over 100 in the bag and nothing was equal so I guess I’ll count on processing day. Lol The bands themselves are great but next time I’ll count ahead of time.

Size sm or med are perfect for quail
Most are quite easy to open large enough to slip over delucate toes. I needed to distinguish my males from females easily. I was told xs but the small are just right for young birds. Get medium to be on the safe side

Elastic = slices leg off
Think of a hair elastic on your wrist and how it leaves a dent. Now leave that elastic on for 2 weeks and the blood flow is now effected in your hand and if your growing it will embed in your skin. Within a matter of days it is already start to embed and slices through the skin. Zip ties dent for a few weeks before it gets bad, these slice right in and embed deep.

Buy all sizes if you hatch
Easy to put on. stretches. You can color code, use 1-2 different colors to identify your chicks. Bands run smaller. I suggest to buy all the sizes to fit your birds. Be sure you'll have the right size as they grow quickly. The can also be easily cut off if too tight.
