Replaced a 110V fish pump in a ginger jar fountain with this combination
I was happy to find this unit to replace the dead (fish tank) pump in my wife's ginger jar fountain. I mounted the solar panel on top of a 6x6 post that supports a shade sail in our yard, so the panel gets good light all day long. Working very well for at least amonth now. The panel seems well enough made that I expect it to last for quite a while. Regardless, this has been a good value for the money. I will update this post if I run into a longevity problem. The suction is pretty good. Not as much as the previous pump, but maybe thats because I have not attempted to make a better seal on the pump to fountain hose interface. There may be some pump efficiency improvement I could get there if I worked on it longer. Just happy I didnt have to do anything special to get it to work well with provided parts.

Didn’t work the first time around
Edit- from 1 back to 5 starsReturned the defunct fountain and replaced with one that works. And it does really work. The sprayer was putting out lot more than I expected. It is doing what I was hoping it would do. Will see for how long.Would rate it zero stars since it doesn’t work. Had hoped it was because the last couple of days had been overcast but it’s bright and sunny today and the panel isn’t putting out power according to my husband’s multimeter.

Installed on April 1st, Died on May 15th.
The pump/panel lasted less than 2 months, beyond the 1 month return window. The pump wasn't working and the panel output registered less than 8v in full Texas sun. Too bad as the panel is bigger and looks good compared to a smaller sized competitor's (which is still working after 2 years). I'd written a glowing review previously as it's output was good initially.

Great little solar pump
Very easy to put together and get running. The solar panel has enough power even in indirect lightTo power the pump and the different patterns provide a number of options. My only Khan To power the pump and the different patterns provide a number of options. My only Complaint, theough minor, is that the motor is not centered balanced and causes the fountain to wobble back-and-forth rather than remaining upright and smooth in its pattern

Fantastic Litte Solar Fountan Pump/Battery - when it works
Update 7/14/21: pump stopped working. We got 3 months use before it died.Dropping to 3 stars as it was good when it worked.Purchased this after we decided we wanted a little fountain. Solar with a small battery? Yes, thank you.Easy to setup. Simple to use.We ended up drilling out one of the spray heads to get a lower but thicker spray. Worked great. The run dry worked well in the beginning, but isn't working anymore. Otherwise, working great every day.The battery gives you run-time after sunset. Maybe an hour or so. But very nice to have it go past sundown.Overall, happy with this little solar pump.

Works perfect in our application
The media could not be loaded. Bought ours in May 2020, and has worked perfectyl every since. Works when cloudy, never a hiccup. We don't even do anything special in winter except pull the drain plug in the birdbath so pump doesn't freeze.

Only lasted 2 months
This worked great for 2 months than died! Was really happy with the way it was working (used in a small fresh water fountain) until it just stopped. I checked the pump and it was clean and free of debris (see pic) so I thought maybe the solar panel wasn't working correctly. I put a multi-meter with it in full sun (see pic), it was putting out 7.2V (rated for 10V). Even at 7.2V the pump should have worked. Went to sellers Amazon store but could find NO WAY to contact them! Maybe look at some other choices before buying from them.

However I am very pleased with it
You do get what you've paid for with this small pump. However I am very pleased with it. It delivers a 60cm high jet using the small nozzle in the pond. It will only work satisfactorily in bright sunlight. Where others have said it pulses, this may be due to poor sunlight. There will be no spray in cloudy conditions. The pump did stop working after 5 days. I connect it to a transformer which kick-started the pump, so it may have had some debris in it. For the price it's a good little product. I will buy another one for the other side of my pond.. One good thing is that it seems to reduce the blanket weed due to the aeration effect of the fountain. UPDATE - the pump hasn't failed since which may be due to the filter that I fitted. This cost £1 and is a plastic mesh pot scourer looped over the pump.

Powerful EDIT
Purchased last year, disconnected and stored properly come winter but unfortunately now that it's Spring and i set the pond back up the pump doesn't work anymore sadly it will kick on for 5 mins then die again.... been fighting it for a month now but looks like I'll have to buy a new one.Powerful. Wasn't expecting the water to shoot up so high, works great in a light, shady area really strong flow in a bright area

Stopped working after 4 months.
It was working very well first, even when it is cloudy, but suddenly stopped working after 4 months. No warranty for amazon shoppers. Needless to say water, pump and solar panel have been kept clean whole time. Another warning; keeping water and pump clean is a real hustle because wind brings leaves and mosquitoes lay eggs in the water constantly.

NO BATTERY!
This product is described as having a 1500mha battery backup built in. We have had nearly a week of full sunny days, and I left this out in direct light to fully charge. Tonight I put it in the pond and it works GREAT in the sun. But I stood in front of the panel and discovered that it Does NOT work. There is no battery, or if there is, it's not working. The panel is supposed to be able to store sunlight and work even when it's not blocked... and we purchased this for that feature, based on the description and many reviews reiterating that. It does not work. I contacted the seller to either return or exchange, as this item will not work for our location at all. The seller's instruction by default advises to contact Amazon, which we did, and Amazon issued a refund. We will have to find a product that has a battery backup. If you have a place which is direct sun all day long, it's a strong fountain. But we have a garden that has sunlight half of the day, and the battery was a PRIMARY focus for purchase. Without this feature, it will be useless to us. Because we received the refund to seek a more appropriate model which will work, we have rated the product 4 stars for other features, it was easy to set up and seems to run powerfully when it's in sun, but as it was described... the defective battery is an issue.

Reusable/renewable power source pump, sunlight and play!
The cool thing about this solar fountain is that it has a battery built into it. The solar panel is pretty big and even in the shade it gets a lot of power going! It comes assembled, it’s easy to put together, just put the pump into water, the panel into the sun and shortly it will be pumping 😊The best thing is that it keeps going even after sunset and it’s really pretty for evening birds and the sound is lovelyAnother cool thing is that if you want to, you can use the solar panel and batter for other direct current things, it unplugs from the pump and can be used for anything you want. Similarly, if you choose you can use a/c power in place of the solar power for the water pump if you wanted to use it inside or somewhere dark for some reasonVery good value for the money for a battery, 6.5 watt solar panel and a fountain pump !

Already Dead
This item worked for about 3-4 months through the summer (substantially less than the >10k hours of runtime stated by the manufacturer) even while being cleaned regularly. It is not built to last!If you want something cheap and temporary for a bird bath, it might do the trick, but as others have said, it either doesn't have a battery or it's underpowered as it doesn't stay on unless in direct sunlight.A shame to see this go to the landfill after such a short time.
