We purchased the this for our 10-year-old, and it's been absolutely perfect. The padded seat is comfortable and supportive, and the height adjustment makes it easy to get just the right fit as they grow. It feels sturdy and well-balanced, which is great for a younger drummer still getting the hang of things.One of the best surprises was the bonus pair of drum sticks included — such a thoughtful addition that made the set feel even more complete. Our child was able to start practicing right away, and they’ve been thrilled with the whole setup.This is a great quality stool at a very reasonable price, and I would definitely recommend it for any beginner or young drummer!

The media could not be loaded. Donner reached out to me about my experience and immediately offered to send a new throne. It got to me quickly and at no extra cost to me. The new throne was not broken like the previous one and was assembled quickly and easily. Donner allowed me to keep the old throne, so I'll try to make an effort to fix it, but there's no need really. The customer service is fantastic, responed quickly and rectified all problems I had. I recommended this company for the customer service alone.Now onto the the quality of the throne. There were some pictures floating around of what looks like rust on the inside of the rods, and it's true. Both of mine had that, but really doubt it's an issue. The swivel of the throne could use some oil for lubrication. As it stands the swivel is a bit stiff. Bottom line though this is a great chair. It's comfortable for its purpose, though I'll be using it all over my house.I absolutely recommend this as a cheaper alternative to more expensive thrones. If you're a beginner don't waste your money on the more expensive stuff, this will more than serve you enough.Old review:Really wanted to use this chair, but the screw hole was broken, so that when you try to unscrew it the screw would just turn without actually coming unscrewed in the hole. Very disappointing.

The media could not be loaded. So this was the first throne I bought and when people told me not to skimp, I should’ve listened. Bought this around 9 months ago or so and for the most part it’s fine. Then I started taking lessons and working the drum kit a lot more. If you’re taller and have to unwind the post a bit it’ll be unstable as heck. I’m 6’ 1” and have it up fairly high and it just wobbles. Really hard to work double bass while swaying.Update: I’ve updated my review to 4 stars as the seller reached out and offered an agreeable solution. Very good customer service to do that.

Nice. Comfortable and good adjustability

I’ve owned each of the thrones above. The weight of my new Donner’s base/stand is solid & fortified, the leather/pleather chair & back support upholstered w care and quality feels comfy, the pneumatic cylinder operates and looks like it’ll last forever. Entie chair took 5 minutes and a rather easy assembly, operations is simple and smooth. What floors me is the Donner sells at a fraction of the cost (to the name brands) AND in my humble opinion is BETTER than the competition. Just sayin - you won’t go wrong w the purchase.I’ll be buying another (i have 2 drumsets) and will be recommending the unit and brand to my bandmates.

This throne sucks! I do like some of donners products, but this product blows!

I've been playing drums for a few decades. I've had the really cheap, somewhat cheap even all the way up to the really expensive thrones with hydraulics. I bought this throne for one of my practice kits so that I wouldn't have to unpack my main throne all of the time. I am currently typing this review sitting on this throne at my desk just to emphasize how comfortable this throne is. I'm really impressed with how this throne stands up to a "major" brand throne that I own that I paid nearly double the price.
