PrepWorks Long Produce Keeper

UPDATE: after a few months of use I still like this celery keeper. It does a pretty good job at keeping celery stay crisp and fresher. My gripe is that this keeper says to have a bit of water in the tray underneath. I keep a little bit there but that water keeps spilling on me every time I remove it from the fridge. The bin is snapped into the tray but still it leaks out. It’s not much water nor a big deal but it is annoying nonetheless. Just has to be held completely vertical. In theory that’s the solution but I’m 5’2” with a large fridge and I keep it on the top shelf keeping lower shelves for everyday used items. So pulling it straight sometimes ends up being not completely horizontal considering I’m vertically challenged. Otherwise, still is a great keeper.Original review:I’ve been looking for a celery keeper for quite some time to replace my old Tupperware one. Not one keeper was long enough to hold a full size stalk of celery. Most newer ones I would have had to chop off about 3” to get it to fit. Finally I saw this one and had to try it. I’m so very pleased with the size! It fits the entire length of the stalk plus its wide enough for a second celery stalk. I love the water reservoir, vents and tight fitting top. It’s a winner!

I had recently purchased a set of these in a shorter size and fell in love with them. I seriously eat a lot of fruits and veggies and my refrigerator is usually well stocked. I want them to last so storage is a key concern for me. I've tried a number of other methods over the years and this is my new favorite. I love having everything organized in clear containers so I can pull out just what I need without having to search through containers. As a bonus, when I open the refrigerator, it looks like something you'd see on Pinterest. Not joking. As for this particular size, I bout two of them. They are perfect for longer items like English cucumbers, celery, etc. Or they can also hold more of other produce. I almost wish I had more of this size because they use up the depth of the refrigerator better. It's great that all of these pieces are stackable. If you invest in these, be sure to invest in a couple of the ones that are taller, too! You'll need those for bulkier veggies.

I use this container for my carrots and celery. They have similar needs. There is info on the lid to tell you what different fresh produce need concerning moisture content. I can use all of my carrots and celery before they go bad because this produce keeper does a great job.

This does a very good job keeping carrots and celery fresh and crisp, ans it's just the right size.However, I have the lettuce keeper from the same company and I prefer the flexible lid and vent style on that product better. This rigid lid is a bit odd fitting.

Bought this to keep celery in, as said it was long enough, and it is. So far, so good! Celery is being used before it wilts, which was the goal. It is too long to sit front-to-back in my cabinet depth refrigerator, so it must go side to side. It is hard, clear plastic, so easy to see what is left, and how it is doing. I am guessing it will break if dropped, so I am being careful with it. It has a water tray at the bottom and vents to control humidity. Others mentioned the water spilling, so I bought a veggie green layer sponge layer - used for crispers - put it in the base to hold the water and prevent spilling, that works. The pieces pop apart to go in the dishwasher, but this is a weak point of the design as the plastic must flex to get it apart, this will result in material fatigue over time, and it will break even with careful use. Happy with this for now.

Husband bought a new refrigerator ... the "crisper" drawers in it are not, in my opinion, satisfactory. I bought a couple of these in an effort to save my produce. I am THRILLED. They work PERFECTLY. Sorry for the shouting, but I have to tell you how well this product has worked for me. I bought two. So far, I have one in service and have had no more spoiled celery, green onions, radishes, or carrots. Easy to use, because the instructions are printed on the lid. I highly recommend this product. I bought the big ones and use it for celery heads, green onions, radishes, and carrots. It easily accommodates all those in the one box. There's a grid in the bottom and the instructions tell you how much water to add to keep the humidity correct for the veggies you're storing.

I like that you can see what's inside and produce stays fresh for days! I always have to throw out lettuce because it wilts in a week. I washed and rinsed the lettuce put it in the container and a week later it was still fresh and crispy. I'm going on my second week and still fresh and crispy. These are going to be my new produce containers, love them.

I had intended to use this for celery, carrots, green onions, asparagus etc. but ended up using it for salad greens. A large container of salad greens fits in it perfectly and fits in our big produce drawer (or fridge either way). I line the tray with paper towels and it keeps the greens as fresh as the day I bought them. I didn’t used to buy big containers of greens (like at Costco) because they would go bad before the two of us could finish them. We eat salad every night now. I’m going to get another one for the long veggies. It’s perfect!

Excelente, plastico duro, se ve de buena calidad y durabilidad. Es bastante grande (largo sobretodo). Le caben hasta 2 manojos de hierbas abundantes (como vienen los atados del super) o un apio completo sin problema. Por lo gral el cilantro y epazote los compro y a la semana comienzan a marchitarse. Pero en este contenedor ya llevan 2 semanas y continuan super frescos como si nada! Muy recomendable!

It's kept carrots fresh for over two weeks! When I went zero waste it was so hard to keep produce fresh in my fridge but this has helped immensely. The guideline about which vegetables to add water and leave the vents open for is right on the lid so you won't lose it and it's a nice size to hold enough produce but not take up extra space in the fridge. So far I'm loving it.

me sorprendio lo bien que conserva la verdura, solo he intentado la zanahoria pero estaban super incluso despues de 3 semanas.

I bought this produce container for mostly carrots as our house drinks a lot of fresh carrot juice. I left carrots in this container for 8 days and they were still looking good, maybe slightly less orange but still had a great taste. I feel that this product is good value for the money you pay. I am considering purchasing another one to store my celery or other produce. I love the printed produce guide for this container as well, there's no guessing. Great product, I do recommend it.
