The Swiss watch of 20-inch drum fans
This is my third one of these I've purchased. Quiet and not high velocity with multi blade smooth operation. The motor is oversized, so it is not forced to work that hard. Low speed should put out sufficient air movement for household use. I'm confident that if the fan is not worked too hard (i.e. low speed) it should last many years. Good buy at around seventy dollars. If you can afford it buy two, one for pushing air into your house and one for exhausting hot air out a window. At night aim one of the fans at the ceiling to move hot air trapped there. These should make life much more comfortable and could even help save money on air conditioning. Great in the winter for quickly clearing stale household air. Due to their size, the fans are a little cumbersome for moving around, but they have a sturdy wire handle built into the back screen and also a convenient cord wrap. When assembling make sure you put the big rubber washers on the big pivot thumbscrews but inside of the frame and against the fan housing, otherwise you can't effectively lock the fan from moving. The big adjusting thumbscrews will loosen overtime so check them occasionally, it's just part of the nature of the design. Snug up the rubber feet attaching Phillips head screws after you've loosened them to get the plastic protective wrap off the bottom frame piece. This is a very good fan design and I hope you enjoy it.

Powerful fan at a great value price
This fan is quite powerful, managing to pull air through a merv 14 rated filter box with little issues. It is not too loud for its performance , though it is by no means a quiet fan. Used within a single family house, this fan is about as loud as the central A/C unit when actively drawing air

Great Fans
These fans have 3 levels Low, Medium, and High. They are excellent and even on Low produce good airflow. On high they are a little noisy but to stay cool is worth it. I bought them for my horse stalls but decided to keep one for our personal use on hot summer days in the South.

Loud with a lot of airflow.
Love the shape and size of this fan! It puts out a lot of air, which is great. We also WANTED the noise, so I'm happy with the sound level - but it's not great if you're looking for something quiet. The one negative I do notice is that the sound isn't constant - I hear a lot of wavering in it. My husband says this is just due to electrical currents, but it's much more prominent than our other fans.

Fantastic Fan!
This is a great fan! It's a shop fan but is fantastic for home use. It has great air circulation with a great sturdy metal frame that has an adjustable angulation. You can use it indoors and outdoors on a deck this fan will give a great breeze on the warmest days!

Well-built
It does not come with remote. All metal construction. A cheaper alternative than putting in a whole house fan. Use this to force air into attic and push out the hot air. Also, on cooler days, use the fan to pull air into the home and out through the attic. Strong, directed air from the floor.

Poolside comfort!
Bought this for hanging by the pool. The sound isn’t too loud unless on high and I enjoy sunbathing with some wind in my face!

Not a good unit. Makes a lot of noise but pushes little air. No real flow.
The design is the cage is good but the blades are not effective. The blades beat the air with lots of noise but the angle is either too great or not enough to effectively move air any more than a desktop reciprocating fan.I found the utility fans such as the squirrel cages have much better flow and have better noise control. I bought this in the winter (cheaper) and now in the summer actually using it, I found it was a huge waste of money.
