Our old fan was so old it sounded like an airplane engine. I was a bit hesitant to order this one because it was so low priced. But happily it was a perfect fit. It mounted right up to the old box in the ceiling. 5 min to get the old one out, 5 min to make sure it was cleaned off so I wouldn’t be putting a new fan up with lots dust bunnies and such, and about 10 min to get the new one mounted to the insert and slide it back into place. Plugged it in and it works perfectly. Maybe it seems so quiet to me because the old one was so loud but it does seem pretty quiet. Even my husband says it’s quiet. A quick wash of the cover for the fan and it was back in place. Less than half an hour and it was done. Considering I’m an older lady, it was harder to get the step ladder out and into the bathroom and then put away than it was to replace the fan motor. So glad I ordered it. As long as you have to existing box from your old fan and the mounting plate, this is a great money saver over buying an entirely new fan with all the extra stuff. I highly recommend it

It is a rare treat when something exceeds expectations. I had been looking at the two big-box home improvement stores in town (and of course Amazon) for a replacement bathroom fan that would not require cutting our drywall and reframing between the studs. This one says "universal", so I figured I didn't have much to lose at the price. Couldn't be easier. No field adjustments, no tinkering, just a perfect fit on the first try. A+.

Bought This as a replacement 50 cfm motor and fan in our bathroom ceiling fan fixture.. Had to shorten the shaft but the steel shaft already had a small groove in the right place... So as not to bend the hard steel shaft, I hacksawed the groove down a bit more and snapped it off and then filed it smooth. Sawing and filing is fairly easy to do with the motor plugged in to an extension cord.Fit perfect, works well and very quiet! As usual, take some time to prep with a good cleaning of the old fixture. I actually wipe ours out every couple of years. The old 20 year old fan just wore out the bronze bearings and was noisy. I’ll be ordering a couple more of these soon for our other rooms.A real bargain, well made.

Our 30 year old WC fan finally stopped working, it in a location with no access to the roof space.Brought this, it was a direct replacement for the old motor, basically a brand new fan for minimum cost. Plus I didn’t have the headache of trying to remove and install a complete new unit.Great find, great price and saved me a ton of work, thank you 🙏

The is the second time I've replaced the fan assembly in one of my bathrooms. This model installed right in easily and is working good. Its really nice how the old fan boxes take these replacement assembles and they just drop right in.

This Kitchen Basics vent fan is easy to install and operates with low noise.

used to replace two older units; one was completely dead after being very loud and another just loud. I used Apple Watch to measure the noise in the toilet before and after. Old noise level drops by about 20dB but the final level with the new one is 62dB.I looked up dB to sone table and this is supposed to be about 10 sone. I find this 10sone unbelievable but I wished I could find a replacement motor much quieter. If anyone else find a quieter motor please reply. Don't want to replace the entire housing because the existing setups are rectangle long system with light and motor and all new whole system are more compact square shapes.

Fits perfect easy to instal with 2 screws.

it works. A little louder than older fan, but works. Also, there are only two screws to hold the fan in place, in comparison to 3 or 4 (on others) hence the fan vibrates more, hence the noise.

It only make noise. No suction at all.
