Good read!
Bob provides much needed insight into behaviors that sabotage weight loss and a general sense of well being. There "exercises" he recommends that are intended to reverse our way of thinking and behaving that in turn supports a more improved outlook on life. Bob seems to guide us toward a more conscience way of living rather than going through the day being oblivious to why we tend to over eat and "wrong eat" on a day to day basis.

Excellent choice for helping to change thinking
This is a great book to get you thinking about all of the ways we torture and abuse ourselves for not being good enough or not doing what we know we are supposed to. The habits are easy to understand and even more importantly, easy to incorporate into a healthy lifestyle. I didn't feel lectured at but instead felt supported and validated as I read. I'm going to get Skinny Rules now!

Bob Harper does an OK job of telling us what we already know. If you're into self-help books and need some inspiration then this book is for you. If you've had overweight problems all your life, then this is a reminder that you need to change your HABITS--one of which is overeating.

Great read! Now motivated
Amazing tips, strategies for all levels of your journey. Bob is very positive and motivates you to stay on track. I really enjoyed the homework/ self reflection piece. Makes the journey real and not another weight loss book.

Not What I Thought
I love Bob Harper but the book was too wordy ,with too many detailed surveys. Guess I was looking for more simple, plain English talk. A step by step guide.

Bob Harpers`s books are very good instruments to change your life style....Well, the problem is the practice....But with such an adorable written theory, who knows, we will succeed.... I did it 60%.... I work for the rest :)

Much of it is common sense but great for those of us who need a good kick ...
I have been a fan of Bob's for a while - I got results by following his Jumpstart to Skinny and The Skinny Rules so I was thrilled to see this new book. Much of it is common sense but great for those of us who need a good kick in the pants once in a while. Bob is one of the people who inspired me to become a personal trainer and nutrition and weight loss specialist. There is advice in this book that I will feel comfortable passing on to clients.

Brilliant book. This is not about how to lose weight. It's about the psychology of losing weight and being healthy all the time, every day for the rest of your life.Well done on a well thought out book.
