Solid option, bold colors
I wasn't sure what I was getting for colors in this set of 60. Colors are bright and lovely to work with. Not as soft or crumbly as Sennelier. Blends well, mid soft to soft. Comparable size to other brands. Good base set. Browns and reds are a little scratchy and dry but that is not uncommon for those colors in many brands with those pigment to binder ratios. Color options are great for under paintings, shadows, backgrounds, and diverse skin tones. I will augment this set with a handful of very light values for younger people, lighter skin tones and ambient lighting effects... Just a few. The seller was a pleasure btw. Solid option if you don't have millions to spend. Can't speak to light fastness or toxicity... I assume it's similar to all brands and pigments.

Amazing!
These Pastels are Wonderful, after reading many reviews I narrowed it down and purchased these. They are beautiful saturated colors, smooth and buttery and fit nicely in your hand while creating, they are amazing...

Great Value / Similar to Unisons
Similar to Unison, a bit harder though. I don't use sanded papers so some of the colors are hard to get onto regular pastel paper. I first bought a set of 60, and knocked half of the box over, breaking at least 15 sticks, so I bought the set of 100. I'm very happy with it and the wood box is great. They take care with packing and shipping. Great value if you want to buy a set and then add on with individual sticks in colors and brands that you may want to add to this.

Vibrant colors, wonderful to work with
Love the vibrancy of the colors and smoothness of these pastels. I use in mixed media projects. Very pleased with these soft pastels. Great value for the price. Very happy with my purchase.

step between hard and the expensive brands of soft
I am disappointed in these pastels as I was expecting them to be much softer and buttery as many described. JA

Not the Portrait Set, buyers beware!
Careful! Despite the name of the item, I did not receive the Portrait Set colors set, just the regular colors set. I like the quality of this brand, but these are not the colors I needed or ordered.

Big selection; not soft
Not my favorite. I prefer softer patels ; these are firm and I will need to get used to them. There is a huge selection in this collection.
