Non-Toxic Tempera Paint Cakes - 1 11/16 x 5/8 inch - Set of 6 - Assorted Fluorescent Colors

I have taught and done workshops with these for decades. This is a different brand but works well. Made for very happy little girls. If they use a dirty brush and the top of the neon pink tablet is now brown.- Simply wipe the tablet with a paper towel and it is pink again. I keep cut up paper towels in a ziplock with the brushes and paint - so that organizing and being responsible with supplies is part of the learning process. Months of happy, busy self expression comes in this package.

I love them and my students love them! They are like using giant, highly pigmented, no-mess watercolors! I have the neon and regular colors and highly recommend!

If you are unsure about this paint, get it. It will save you so much time and effort cleaning after your kids have been painting. It is SO HARD for them to make big mess with this stuff, because it doesn't spill or drip, there's no bottle to spill or messy paint brushes that drop and dry gobs of paint anywhere. Its all contained, and the colors are beautiful.

These are my favourite tempera paint cakes! Lovely colors, good coverage and last forever. The cake will fall out from the pot if flipped, but it won't break. I enjoyed these paint cakes as much as my kids!

The paints themselves are great. There a two big issues with it - the tray itself can come in white or black and you don't know which you're getting. You can't choose and the picture shows white. Black is super ugly and takes away so much from the brightness of the colors, I hate it (the only reason I am not returning it and buying the cakes with a separate palette is that either I buy 100 trays or I can't tell if the cakes would fit).The other is the size of the cakes. Now, the listing does say it's the small ones (hence misleading, not incorrect or missing), but in such a way as to be confusing, especially when they don't offer total tray measurements, which they really should - 5 x 7.these are minis.I'm still thinking about returning it though. Gotta check my local art store and see if they have it in white first, I guess

These are fun colors and tempera cakes are wonderful for kids as young as 3 years old. I am annoyed with myself because I didn’t see that these cakes are the mini size. I wanted the larger ones. I am going to keep them because they will do the job and I hate returning things. Just be aware that they are the small size.I am a school teacher and use tempera cakes all the time.
